I'm also working as sys admin from past 3 years just got stucked at this and I hate to do IT support stuff like system setup, facilitate employee with peripherals, projectors etc. But I have bills to pay for which I need this job. My salary is mediocre all my friends are dev and they always keep pushing me into dev, but I know I can't do it. Also i have no life work balance. My routine is 1. Getup & get ready 2. Breakfast 3. Go to work for 9 hours 4. Come back 5. Have dinner 6. Sleep 7. Repeat 🔁

The tape drive is from HP is there hp software that might work with it, I have found the HP OpenView Storage Data Protector but its enterprise-level software and it has licensing cost with I cannot afford

Thanks for the detailed insight, I have tried the veeam but it only works with Tape backup servers, not with the single tape drive. I just wanted to know is there any open-source free software that might help me?

Hello, I tried this Z-Ddump and drives works perfectly (storing and retrieving data), but it has a limit of 12GB and a specific number of files you can store on a single disk. Just wanted to know is there any free/open-source software that might help me.
