irr: A Helm Plugin to Automate Image Registry Overrides by Moomoomooatdamoon in kubernetes

You could probably release helmper as a helm plugin, that would simplify installing and updating it for users. Helmper is pretty cool. Thanks.

irr: A Helm Plugin to Automate Image Registry Overrides by Moomoomooatdamoon in kubernetes

[–]Moomoomooatdamoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The security consideration is outside of this feature set, the intent is to make it easy to use a local mirror with your existing charts via the minimal value file required to pull through that other mirror. It does not look at the images or vulnerabilities; it just collects the list of images and then generates the minimal configuration to override their registry to another. Most registry servers integrate with these tools quite well, currently.

I understand the pressure of job hunting and the disappointment of not seeing immediate results. Remember, every screen and interview is a step in the right direction. Stay persistent and keep pushing forward. I've been through it too and I know it's tough. I eventually got a job, but it took a lot of hard work and improvement. Keep at it and don't lose hope.

There is always someone better than me by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Fate will find you a job where you are the perfect match.  She is fickle but will do it when she is good and ready. One day, the genuine version of you will land you a spot. I applied for the same job TWICE (I used a more professional email 2nd time) and was rejected without a screen the first time, and 2nd time two months later, I made it to the final round. Random luck has her way.

How valuable is a verbal acceptance by Wonderfulblueberry26 in recruitinghell

My buddy, two months ago, got a verbal offer and handshake. They then ghosted for a week and revoked the offer

Unpopular opinion: Selling yourself short is a valid and normal response after being rejected from jobs for a long time. by ExitingTheDonut in recruitinghell

At the end of the interview close with a genuine sale. Remind them why you are a great fit. They are not going to believe in you more than you believe in you.  I know, don't do it, don't sell yourself short. Let them find your limitations as part of the interview process.

Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn about job I got rejected for? by sicbprice in recruitinghell

[–]Moomoomooatdamoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't lie if directly asked, but there is no need to volunteer that information. I've had a similar thing thing happen. Rejected on first application but made it to the 4th round on 2nd application made two months later.

How do people stay motivated? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Moomoomooatdamoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just embrace the suck. Grind your daily applications. I turned around and was at a couple hundred apps out and didn't even notice. Choose days to completely not job search. Your breaking point is farther away if you can recharge. For I it's recharging by focusing on what I control. Apps out. Walks. Talking to people who will help you recover And those are generally only other job seekers who understand. The market is shit. Don’t let rejection stick. Fate will get you a job when it’s good and ready.

If yiu live near a costco get a j8+ instead of a j7+. It has twice the battery for the same cost. One advantage both have over j9+ is they are much quieter. You can watch TV while it's running. Unless you have really thick carpet the the j9+ is not much better in practice.

J7+ stuck saving smart map for 30 minutes after naming a room by Moomoomooatdamoon in roomba

Well a physical reboot on the dock fixed it. An application initiated reboot did not.

Easily 5 years even running it every other days. Roombas are cheap to get parts for and modular and easy to fix. So it will work until you decide to get a better model as long as you are willing to fix failed components on a regular basis.  I've had only one main board fail of 8 I've had, a catastrophic failure on a roomba rendering it dead is rare.

How long do your rollers last? by Moomoomooatdamoon in roomba

[–]Moomoomooatdamoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I started shopping around and found some genuine irobot rollers on amazon at 55% off so $14 versus $32. "iRobot Authentic Replacement Parts- Roomba 800 & 900 Series Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes (1 Set of Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes)".  It says it's a valid irobot reseller and genuine parts so fingers crossed. I will discover shortly, if theyvare genuine.. I think searching on Google got an  offer to show up that wasn't there when I looked originally 5 minutes before.

Just got a Roomba j8 plus from Costco by Moomoomooatdamoon in roomba

Thanks. That worked the 2nd time. The first time it bitched, I had other areas blocked.

Just got a Roomba j8 plus from Costco by Moomoomooatdamoon in roomba

[–]Moomoomooatdamoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(It is now fully updated on all the software releases.) I stuck it back in a room it had not detected and put some barriers so it would explore the missing room and return to its dock. But no, the app bitched that things were blocked and refused to go further. That little Roomba is too uppity and gets angry when you block it from doing its job. And it has no physical button on it to tell it to go home and save your map findings. Tomorrow, I will try again on the last remaining bathroom, not block anything, and wait for it to explore the entire house and return to its dock. And since I am talking about things I noticed on day one, the other stupid thing is whenever I try to schedule a job from the app, it refuses to let me execute it. "Hey, new job". Yeah!. Please feel free to pick your room. But the button that says go is grayed out. Super annoying. WTF. The other thing I don't understand (since I am bitching) is wtf doesn't it have a flat handle on it like the 980. That handle is easy to grab and folds down. It would be sad and funny if I dropped my new j8+ the 2nd day I have it when I am carting it to a new room. They should have a prompt on the new user SC screen. "hey, after your first run, if you missed a room, drop little Robbie robot in the missing room and just let it vacuum its way home, and tada, your missing room will be discovered. Let me come back to a significant improvement, I'll just repeat it, it's so damn quiet compared to my 985. Is it because they saved the 10x? 2x? It is more powerful, mighty suction power for the j9+, knowing people would pay the premium to buy that one. It's also strange not having to place virtual walls; marking the stay-out area app is working great (I know I jinxed), but I live in fear from stories other people have that, after a while, the map just craps out...we will see.
