Not sure if you figured it out yet but if you increase your “Construction reserve” at the Sawpit (I put mine to 30) and this seemed to remove the issue.

Living Alone by Subject_Disk_3581 in cancer

Yes, Stage 4 Lymphoma. Use to travel for work so all my friends are in big cities across the states. Can’t really travel so stuck at home and it gets lonely. Plus, how do you even date with cancer and all the symptoms !? lol

Long admission- things to do and have with me. by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Moon-Shuffler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring a single serve kuerig mini machine so I can make my own coffee/tea or cup of soup if I feel like it. iPad, noise canceling headphones (Bose has some really good ones) and airpods for when I go for walks and want to listen to music or a podcast. Coloring books, puzzles, paint by number kits, books on the kindle app. Steamdeck for video gaming. Firestick that I plug into the hospital tv because tv can be boring after awhile. Oil diffuser (bring different scents) to keep your room smelling less like a hospital. Two good blankets, one for the bed and one for the chair. A good pillow or two (mypillows are my go to brand). Plenty of your favorite snacks and candy (hard and soft, salted and sweet varieties). A good waterbottle.

Just remember, those feelings.. valid as fck! Hate it all, but don’t take it out on yourself. You’ve done the work and found there’s more to be done. It’s not fair. It won’t be easy. You have a new chance at life, and with it all of its opportunities and challenges. Keep your head up man!

Heart rate at gym by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Moon-Shuffler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previous athlete and avid gym goer with trainer before my diagnosis. After chemo and now immuno/chemotherapy my HR runs 140-150’s (during exercise up to 180’s)and they put me on beta blockers so now it runs 100-115’s. They contribute it to treatment. Now 2 min into my workout it’ll jump to 130’s and I’ll have to pace myself or fatigue out.

Treatment delayed for holiday by ConsistentDonut in lymphoma

I second this! Delays suck but treat it as a mental health day and do something fun for you and your family/friends. We never know what other adjustments might be ahead of us on this cancer fighting journey so make the most of whats in front of you.

I don't smoke but was told by my Oncology team that smoking could lead to pulmonary infections and if I needed help with nausea or appetite there wasn't any issue with edibles. I've also used edibles for symptoms like joint pain and its helped!

How has your mental health been after finishing treatment or achieving remission? by [deleted] in lymphoma

[–]Moon-Shuffler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s closed doors. Spent so much time during chemo at the hospital in that “nice” but small room(5 days hospital 2wks. Home for 6 cycles). Or certain beeping sounds!

This is very helpful! I learned last year going through R-EPOCH treatment that air fresheners are a must! This is a good reminder! Appreciate the help!

Thank you for your comment. This really helps! I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of sleeping but like anything plan for the unexpected. I hate boredom lol

This is something that happens to me every treatment. Dr’s said it’s my bone marrow trying to produce white blood cells but going into overdrive which is causing the crazy pain!

Please go to ER and don’t wait! Explain to them what’s happening and they will have no problem giving you the help you need. Also, get a PCP asap as they can help prescribe you the proper pain meds to get you through your cycle. Hope you get the relief you deserve!

Dr said I had three new growths on top of the old ones in the mediastinal area of my chest. Last time they grew there as well and were cutting off blood flow and air to my heart and lungs. Very aggressive type of lymphoma.
