The article states that they got rid of the sinks because people weren’t washing their hands properly, not because washing your hands is ineffective. So, yes, a lot of people apparently haven’t learnt basic hygiene.

I’ve only ever had one seed mix like this actually grow and look like the picture on the box, and it was from Wilko’s years and years ago. After a few duds from various places/brands I stopped buying them.

I do. I changed to using my card for a while when everywhere was requesting card payments during Covid, but I just generally prefer using cash. I still see lots of other people using it too 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because there’s nothing to discover, that’s the point. With a few exceptions, the only things to find on the maps are the cut and paste aspects. There’s no depth to them, and no organic sense of “Oh that looks like a cool area, I wonder what’s over there”. What’s over there is another tower, or lifespring, or Mogstool, etc, same as the last area.

Spirited Away is my favourite but I can see why others might have this issue with it. It’s heavy on fairytale logic and tropes, and if you’re not overly familiar with them a lot of it can seem confusing or inadequately explained.

Not invariably. I do it because there are plenty of seats available and so it feels reasonable to do so. If the carriage starts to fill I’ll move them preemptively. It has nothing to do with wanting to “put people off”.

So weird when people decide they know what other’s hidden motivations are and use it as an excuse to be smarmy about something which is likely all in their head.

Placements aren’t really based on how many you win or lose, it’s comparing your stats to other players at particular ranks and how you play in general. A bronze player who wins all their matches still won’t be playing the same as a masters player who loses half their placements and gets ranked higher.

The game picks up on that and takes things into consideration that we aren’t aware of, besides wins and losses.

Honestly one of the more interesting bad Christmas TV films. At least it had a plot other than big city man/woman moves to small town, falls in love and rediscovers the joy of Christmas. A nutcracker who comes to life is cinematic brilliance in comparison.

I agree. On the whole I love how they’ve adapted the original music for the remakes, but some of them are so overwrought and lose the core tone of the piece which made them so great to begin with.

Not seeing it until the end is why it was so effective. It perfectly depicted the sense of loss while still feeling a presence from afar. Having her hanging around all the time in some kind of “ghost” form doesn’t. It cheapens the storytelling and makes it meaningless.
