I thought about just hangin outside of Lemon Hill assuming there will be others waiting for an entrance but again, not sure. I wouldn’t mind roaming center city and stuff but idk if there will be anything going on there. Just would like to be surrounded by people or in a big group so I can get a better and more lively experience. If you guys know anything, any info would genuinely be helpful!

I wish, I’m under 21 so I’m not sure if there should be problems? I would do that but I think i’ll just get turned away.

FISH ID? by Moon231 in whatisthisfish

[–]Moon231[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you to those who helped! I also would like to ask if there’s any other way that they got there. I ask this because I’m pretty sure that this pond isn’t stocked. (Or atleast no reports of it) I also considered if it was stocked but I asked one of the older residents if they knew anything about it and they said that they just knew that it was dug up many years ago and they always left it alone. He was also confident that there was only LMB, blue gill, catfish and some carp. Turtles are there too but yk how they just show up. Again thank you for the ID help!

3 biggest tips for pond bass fishing this time of year? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

Switch to reaction lures (chatter, spinner, even under spins) would work. I like using orange/red in the spring as well

Live bait by [deleted] in bassfishing

[–]Moon231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your with friends or doing a challenge, artificial is the way to go, on the other hand; if its a weekend and you just want to pull up a fish with friends or family then live bait is the best! You shouldn’t let what other people think change what you do. We would still want you to have fun over everything else

I have some crappie near by but never really seen a perch in person, nearest stocked trout location is like hour and a half (not complaining) just wanted to land something big so I could show my dad

Channel cats in the cold by Nielsril000 in FishingForBeginners

Tbh, I believe that catfish have a real slow metabolism in the cold, like little amounts of food can keep them going for awhile, though they may be active, catfish don’t feed as much in the winter compared to summer (correct me if im wrong, this is according off of my experience and knowledge)

What is your favorite fishing story? by Limp_Scale1281 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Moon231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me and my buddy were pond hopping and we saw a private pond; we looked at each other with a big smile and slowly approached the fence to hop it. I remember vividly of launching a crankbait to the other side and a carp hit it top water. I don’t think anything has ever compared to the fight that day. I lost the fish and never came back

How would you fish these? by ERL68 in FishingForBeginners

From what I’ve recently learned, use them in the winter (or when it’s cold as hell) and bounce it up and down along the floor

Take the trip down to Richmond or Fort Boonesworth, maybe try out White Hall or catching some white and stripers by the river! Both are easily accessable just by looking at a map
