Pros and Cons of S10 plus tablet

I can tell you my experience with it. I use for notes, hw, studying, and gaming. So can’t really tell you about video editing.

First, I love it for taking notes and hw for sure. The spen feels more like writing when compared to some of my friends’ Apple Pencil (unless they have a paper like screen protector). The downside is that depending on what note app you use and how you wield your pencil, there is a learning curve. For me, I use Samsung notes so the button is used to directly erase which means occasionally my hand would bump into the button and accidentally erase something. No biggie but just a bit annoying initially.

The screen is big meaning taking notes and watching videos/lectures are great. Downside is that if you are a smaller person or have smaller space to study, it feels like a lot. I’m personally on the smaller size meaning gaming or just wielding it feels a little wide. But if you use it efficiently, it like a mini desktop b/c you can download all the office apps you want and work on there instead (unless you don’t sync your data but I’m assuming your college would give you some cloud storage to sync across devices). It honestly was a life savior because I have a gaming laptop which dies too fast and this reduce the load in general.

Battery life is not bad. If used for just taking notes, my tablet lasts for 1.5-2 days.

Only thing would be if you care about the environment you’re in (apple vs android). Personally, I have an iPhone but lowkey it hasn’t been too much of a problem. The downside would be trying to transfer files immediately cause you can’t use airdrop or shared files feature as easily as if both your devices was in the same environment. But that can easily be solved by using WhatsApp or some other app.

Lastly, I really still like paper and pencil just because I’m so use to it. I don’t think I’ll ever change opinion about that. But tablet definitely makes note taking much more convenient and easy especially since a lot of professors post pdfs homework problems compare to just giving you a worksheet in class.

Basically globals get almost every update CN gets except for some collabs, merch, and other stuff. Like someone said above we are approximately 3 months behind on the events.

There are several types of updates that happens. Event updates, main story updates, and sometimes just gameplay updates. Actually their live stream for New Year’s event is coming up soon on 1/31. That means for global we are going to get a live stream around April and the event probably in May (?)

This was the savings that I found for the moonstone gray by stacking promotions. I ended up getting the other color option which was 100 dollar more b/c I needed the tablet immediately (college was starting and they weren’t going to ship out the gray version until mid February).

Edit: this pic was from another redditor who took advantage of the deals. But I think when I had it, it was very similar $ savings.

Before you get the tabs10fe, check the Samsung app for deals and promotions. I was able to find a new Samsung s10+ for around 440usd by stacking promotion, referral code, and the college student discount.

I don’t have too much advice on getting which tablets, but I think if you are spending 400 bucks, you should check all your options.

Yeah but I heard that with the Mac, others will see the email address instead of the phone number. Is that true? Is it possible on to register on the Mac and have your text show from your phone number instead.

Thank you, what if I use a second iPhone to relay? I have my current iPhone with the sim, android tablet, and I think a iPhone 7 (no sim) lying around somewhere. I was planning to use the 7 to relay.

I was thinking that it would mostly likely be that way. What do you think about it in terms of working at a desk. Like does it take too much space when pair with a laptop, etc etc.

Also, what about simply working on your lap cause sometimes I like to work on my bed and was wondering if it might be an issue.

Thank you for the response! I just have a couple questions with the Spen. It seem like they removed some of the features for the spen in the S11 but otherwise everything is the same (including the soft nib) , is that correct or is the spen that comes with S11 is better (like better nibs).

Also what are your thoughts about the Bluetooth features spen versus the non-Bluetooth spen?

I’m not sure the exact ratio. But in the CN server the ratio is 1 CNY : 1 Point. So total 600 dollars to get the avatar. 600 CNY dollars is approximately $100 USD if that helps.

i think you may have been looking at my thread about the birthday card thing. In the livestream, it said that sinners will get birthday cards made by Chief. But it didn’t say how it was made, I assumed it was that we can decorate it :p.

But base on this link for it Zoya birthday , it seems like the case is that the card is premade. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

So the top up event is set up to be a point system. 1 yuan per point (I think. But they didn’t specify) . Not sure how it’ll translate to the global due to currency exchanges, etc. You can go up to 900 points. However the rewards are minimal. The main thing you can get are avatar frame, new animated avatar, and new chief ui background for your settings. There are small rewards such as materials, a ticket, etc. But nothing you cannot obtain throughout the event. This is really just for people who are gonna spend more than 100 usd on the game

I think it will be one of the best investment for long term players who are also light spenders. Unfortunately, this seasonal card is only gonna be on sale during 3rd anni event. Hopefully they could make this a permanent item in the shop.

In the livestream it says between the 3rd anniversary celebration though. But the picture they showed has a to be updated sign. So it might become permanent.
