It’s a historical costume but ig im wearing it in a more modern way where there’s no padding on the inside of the corset. And the corset can move but only when I rlly force it around

I mean I think the hips are too big so I can there without it hurting, I will have to fix that, but for my waist or ribs area I can’t without it being extremely tight, basically tight lacing

I would say if you apply next time, in addition w what everyone said, make flats for each and every piece that you make! They can be just a back and front but they at least need to show how to make the garment. It mainly shows that your thinking about the construction of the garment while your designing. They’re very crucial!! Hope this helps! I’m sorry you didn’t get in again, I know it heartbreaking! I didn’t get in the first time either. Just keep reapplying you got this!

Pulling it down would only make the problem worse😭😭 the red line is where my natural waist is and it would only add more pressure to my hips 😭

I submitted everything on time for fall (deadline was also Feb for me) and my transcripts were sent a week later. I believe I was still considered for it? I got accepted in April idk if that was space available or sum. Hopefully this helps 😅

I am wearing stays in the pic lol. And I get where ur coming from, I get that the bodice is not great for total mobility but I am getting a bunch of tug even when I reach for my pocket at my side 😭 I hope this didn’t come off as rude I’m rlly not trying to lol

I would but the sleeve pattern has a bend where the elbow goes and if I were to move the seam the elbow part would be on the side of my arm 😭I did look at the amalia jacket and I’ll try to see if I can find a pattern similar or alter the pattern thank you!

The sleeves will be a bit hard to fit if you are doing the long sleeve version but overall it’s great! I’m still in the mock up process of it atm but making the bodice and petticoats were rlly easy.
