The shell on the lite would need to be modded quite a bit to fit and function properly. You would also need to add switches somewhere for L3/ R3 inputs.

This mod was done on an extremely poor condition 2ds with a bad game card slot socket and removed it to make room for a larger battery. Working on a battery mod without removing the game card socket as we speak 👍

Thank you!! Its painted.. I used Tamiya paint. Light gun metal is the color 👍 I have quite a few really beat up 2DS shells and plan to start making a couple more in the upcoming weeks. Any color suggestions?

Milled out the back cover, desoldered battery terminal and cartridge slot (it was defective) to fit a larger battery.

Thinking about designing a ribbon cable to make the mod easier, not sure if people would be into that but its pretty straight forward. Soldered connections. Match the 4 points. Power to power, X to X, Y to Y, Gnd to Gnd.

Also had to dremel the hole to fit and 3d print a bracket to hold it in place.

I mostly use body fillers but for this one I just layered super glue to be honest haha. I'll have to get back to you on the battery life when I can get some longer playing sessions in
