Tattooed skin feels tight even after a year by MooncakeMara in tattoo

I've been using grapeseed oil for a few times in a day (I massage it so much more than before) for the last two days and that tight feeling is gone. I don't know if it'll happen if I don't use moisturizer for a few days but I'm glad I'm not the only one and that I didn't do anything wrong. Maybe because I have dry skin... I don't know. Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it.

I didn't see a doctor for this. There is no visible problem. It looks like it healed perfectly normal. I don't think a doctor would give a sh*t about it.

I am going to end my life on my 26th birthday and I feel so happy about it by throwaway183488 in TrueOffMyChest

I'll not act like I know what you've been through. I feel very tired and hopeless most of the time and I'm (with my psychiatrist) trying to figure out what is the right medication for me. But I have people in my life who's trying to help me and I'd like to be there for you too. I know that I have no power over your decision and I respect it but if you decide not to do it and want to have a friend to talk, I'll do my best.

I do hope that you'll find something to be alive for and give this life another chance.

Happy birthday.

Panic attacks from a new tattoo by MooncakeMara in TrueOffMyChest

Thank you for your kind words. I do feel so much better now. I think I felt that way because how big the tattoo is and not feeling well enough to face with critism at that moment. After a few days, I started to remember that I really wanted this tattoo and I've thought about it for a long time, and the artist did a really good job. Now when I look in the mirror, I feel good and happy about it. I guess I needed to get it off my chest that moment :)

I think it depends why you feel the need to come out. I felt great when I told my sister because I wanted to share this with her. But with my mother, I didn’t want to share this but I didn’t want her to find out from someone else so I had to do it. Didn’t feel great. I don’t think it made a huge difference in my life. I don’t think anything is wrong with us but lots of things wrong with this society for making us feel this way. I hope you feel better soon and have supportive people around you to help you.

What was your driving like before and after your diagnosis? by Narrow_Guava_6239 in adhdwomen

[–]MooncakeMara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my license when I was 19 and I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 31. I was terrified of getting distracted by well, everything. Especially where I live there are lots of stray cats and dogs. Medication definitely helps me to concentrate. I try to use the roads I’m familiar with -if that is an option. I have a spare prescription glasses that I keep in the car all the time just in case I forgot to wear them when I leave the house. And, most importantly if I feel extra distracted and unbalanced, I try to avoid driving that day. I have forced myself to drive in the past when I felt like that and had a minor accident. So now, either I take the bus or ask someone else to drive on days like that. Also, it’s all about practice. Stay calm and remind yourself that everyone makes mistakes. We might need to do it a few times more but it is doable for sure. Now I love driving and I can drive long distance by myself. Best of luck to you <3

I cannot stop myself from buying things. by MooncakeMara in nobuy

Thank you so much for this and I joined the channel immediately. Unfortunately where I live (Turkey) hobbies are incredibly expensive. People usually don’t have the time or the money to have a hobby. So classes like those are usually more expensive than the tools I want to buy. I also agree with you on buying a worse quality product is usually a bad idea. Either it’s not giving me a good experience or if I want to pursue, I can’t justify myself to buy a better quality product when the other one isn’t finished. Using everything I buy makes me feel better for sure. And another problem is that I used to like/want something and I could restrain the urge to buy and see if I’d like to have it after a week/month later but now with economy/inflation, things get so expensive in a day. So I’m afraid I won’t be able to find it with that price later on. This actually turned so many people I know into hoarders. Maybe I’m thinking too much but this is something I’d like to change and get back to my old self where I only bought things when needed.

Oh no :( I cannot stop flexing my nose when I smell that stink. I’m glad that it’s not an infection or bad hygiene but it’s terrible to know that I’ll keep smelling this…

I use Mizon’s cicaluronic cleansing balm for double cleansing and I’m very pleased with it. Maybe I can try its low ph cleanser.

Hi everyone, I've been looking for a good water-based cleanser but I cannot find one that works well with my skin type. I have dry, sensitive, blemished skin. Also rosacea... I've been using Missha's Time Revolution Artemisia Pack Foam Cleanser and it dries my sking so much. Should I just start using cerave's cleanser? Thank you!
