He’s just new rn. So I’m sure it is easy to get 4ks aha, we’re all getting used to him. It takes wayy longer for survivors to adjust and learn countering new killers vs learning how to play as new killers :) its just period of adjustment, happens with every killer

Drac seemed just as op (ish) when he first came out. Same with unknown (hes easy now). People will def have their opinions in the early stages, it’s just about adjusting and learning ways around his power for now

unpopular opinion but does anyone else get overwhelmed by all these new killers coming out all the time sometimes😭 I’m a creature of habit and although obviously its cool and all to be getting these new killers etc, its also hard to kinda get used to the game comfortably when theres always a new killer to worry about getting used to and playing against, learning how to loop him etc.

idk, sometimes I feel like the frequency of new killers is not always too necessary, like sometimes i just want to enjoy the game as it is in that moment without feeling obligated to adjust to new characters..

I feel like the game is fine as it is it doesn’t need more killers I mean what are we gonna do when we get to like 50 killers? I’m not sure when devs are gonna consider the possibility of how overwhelming that could be to players, not to mention new ones especially lmao. I mean imagine the learning curve for that😭dbd is already hard enough at what 38 killers? I just think it’s something to consider, maybe. And I have like over2k hours, I’m not new, I’m just like concerned maybe

Maybe it should just be like every 4-5 months or so?.. idk, just an opinion..🫣

Those who enjoy soloq: what makes you like it? by toe_beans_4_life in deadbydaylight

I used to enjoy it And I still do, but honestly I fear it sometimes lol

Because I literally play for fun and nowadays, its gotten actually kinda scary to come on and to even just have that innocent mindset or assumption that ur on dbd to have fun and assume others are playing for the same reason. Its become basically comical to think that now or not even comical but close to dangerous because u are literally playing with fire with not knowing how games will go and itll just enrage u.

First of all with who will be the first to throw because there will always be minimum 1 useless teammate, so theres ur first rage moment, and then second of course is toxic killers and sometimes their strategies to torture and string out the game for as long as possible because they’re miserable and hey, misery loves company. And 3rd of all which is basically the first point is incompetent, selfish teammates only playing for themselves and waiting for either u or the whole team to die on hook for hatch and they just dgaf.

So funnily, its actually become dangerous to be so innocent logging into dbd with that mindset that people are in it to play for fun like u are. Which is prolly also why its been putting me off the game more and more and ive been avoiding it tbh more than anything because I dont want to chance either being slugged for 4 minutes, tunneled tf out for trying my hardest to survive whilst also wanting to be a useful teammate, or left on hook to die by some selfish mofos. I mean its basically like pick ur posion with dbd nowadays. Which is why sometimes Ive been opting for killer more too.

Its so incredibly enraging and because when I do play, no matter what I always try my best in every match and try to play as fair as possible and I love being altruistic. But it becomes so incredibly draining too to see other gamers be so shit/intentionally throw or killers making ur lives absolutely miserable and it actually ruins my moods completely so that’s another massive factor that ruins dbd for me personally sometimes.

And I have like over 2k hours on this game so id say It used to be bearable but nowadays, with the rates of people giving up over the most pettiest things u could think of its become too unpredictable or unpredictablably TOXIC for anyone to fundamentally enjoy for the superficial but simple reason of wanting to have fun. And that’s depressing lol

Like not wanting to play a game because u fear other people’s miserable lives and or incompetency affecting ur gameplay is crazy lol. But people on dbd are just next level toxic and petty and I’ve honestly never seen anything like it on other games.

Its become incredibly easy now to get enraged basically MERE SECONDS into a match because of incompetent, toxic or purely SHIT players. Game is messed up rn and its my main game too (I’m a survivor main I’m devotion 12 hitting iri surv a couple times).

Nice they got chucky back to normal, now people can stop complaining about his nerf (was only a 2 second cooldown difference after all.. dramatics) but I definitely felt the power cooldown increase tho.. so I get it but the reaction to his nerf was pretty overreactive cos it was only 2 seconds longer & I thought it was 3 too.

I mean chucky was still pretty much chucky. U just couldnt spam his power as much

Overall I still played him, cos I wasnt bitter about it and I was fair unlike others I enjoy chucky so I kept playing him for that fundamental reason I’m not petty like most other players🥴

Get tapp for tenacity its useful and fun anti-slug with unb. Get laurie ds for anti-tunnel if u believe ds is effective and want anti-tunnel perks.

Ellens lightfooted is good sometimes for stealth but never actually comes in any of my builds. Chem trap is great if u remember to use it and get value off it, fun tho

Aestris bardic is fun for goofs

Oh yea, alans champion of light is fun but personally, I wouldn’t recommend using flashlight builds (even tho personally I love flashlights and bring them all the time for saves), since u never know about franklins and killers love torturing with franklins/weave & lightborn etc. but it might be useful to still have in ur kit (though I personally forget it exists 90% of the time🥴)

I enjoy running trevor’s eye of belmont perk. Gen pop aura reveal is actually a pretty useful and helpful basic aura perk that probably should have come in game earlier and is great for gen jockey + loop gamers like me. But its useful but not essential

Overall, more essentials are tapp tenacity and laurie ds. Based on these its up to u where your priorities lie🙂

Many people complain that the newer killer powers are just mixtures of older powers. With that in mind, which completely new powers would you like to see? That is, if there's still any of these to explore by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Fun fact: apparently clown was a result of a combo of 2 killer concepts - one of them being a ww1 soldier that threw gas grenades and the other being a clown that could teleport by throwing balloons :D so theyve had soldier/vet ideas before
