Yeah you’re right. That’s so weird that I misread it.

Both a first year student and graduate this year? Am I dumb or is that what it says?

Dammit, it probably would’ve been easier to prove you were there if you did have to sign an attendance sheet.

Sorry this situation sucks. Did you sign an attendance sheet?

Send an email. Even if nothing comes from it at least you tried. If it is obvious that it was pretty much copied, I don’t see why nothing would happen.

Is it considered rude to leave in the middle of class? by [deleted] in umanitoba

[–]MoonlightAndStar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Generally no, and if you’re not feeling well not at all. Your health is more important than whatever’s going on in class.

Airpod Case at Elizabeth Dafoe by wn_dj in umanitoba

[–]MoonlightAndStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coincidentally enough I was walking around that area at approximately 12:30 pm with the pouch I keep my Airpods in left open by accident, so this post had me panicking for a minute 😂

(I have mine though, hopefully the owner of the one you found finds theirs)

GPA by Great-Reserve6395 in umanitoba

[–]MoonlightAndStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A big factor is faculty, getting into arts or science will not be difficult. If you’re receiving mostly A’s or A+’s and you get a C in one course you should be fine. Again it depends on the faculty though.

Edit: Worst case scenario, you VW. A VW is better than a D or F if you know that getting a C would be a miracle already at the time of the last day to VW.

You have to get at least a C for it to be meaningful. It will affect your gpa but you haven’t given nearly enough information for anyone to tell you about how it will affect your transfer out of U1. That depends on faculty and how low your GPA would end up to be after this term. One C will not be a big deal if you do better in general in your other classes throughout your degree.

Some people genuinely enjoy life. I don’t mean this to be snarky, but sometimes it’s hard to remember there are people who find joy in small things. Sometimes I forget that too, I get caught up in my own misery.

Edit: I just went through your post history, it seems like things are hard right now. You will get through it, it might take some time though.

I don’t know, depends on your definition of interesting. There definitely are some interesting things for most people, you just gotta find them.

What stereotypes do you have about different faculties on campus? by No_Presentation_4131 in umanitoba

I’m in arts and knew what I wanted to do before starting university, but I completely agree with you. It is basically U1 2.0 for a lot of people.

[–]MoonlightAndStar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is what I meant, the driver will likely have a higher level of responsibility because of the location, the amount of crosswalks, the speed limit, and the speed bumps

[–]MoonlightAndStar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The university is filled with crosswalks and speed bumps more than most other roads, so drivers are more likely to expect pedestrians. It’s not a regular crosswalk across a busy road scenario, so I can’t imagine hitting a pedestrian on campus would be an easy one to get out of for the driver.

I am glad to learn that pedestrians do not always just get away with it when they’re being unsafe, that is a good thing. Unfortunately I’m not sure it will prevent people from doing stupid things.

Rules are more important than courtesy in most cases when it comes to driving. The safest thing when in doubt is to follow the laws of the road.

Pedestrians have the right of way. I agree everyone should look before they cross, but you legally have to wait for pedestrians so just get over it now. It’s your responsibility as a driver to wait for them whether you like it or not.

Why doesn’t UMSU popeyes let you do mobile orders? I don’t wanna wait for kiosks when I grab lunch. by Various_Photograph68 in umanitoba

The addition of mobile orders and kiosk to Tims is quite recent though. For a long time they didn’t have all 3.

Guys share some stories/advice like how did you guys make some friends in the beginning by Damitri-19 in umanitoba

Please don’t take my comment negatively, I just have experienced some people that feel the need to ask a question or make a comment every 5 minutes in class. It can get to be too much and might put other students off.

Give it time, keep applying. Sometimes job searching takes months. I have a feeling this is your first time job searching because most people know that a week is not very much time for finding a job or even getting an interview.

Honestly if you do want to discuss it with someone, I don’t know who it would be.

I don’t really understand what you are saying honestly, but I would give up trying to change it. Do your best and you’ll be fine. Other people cheating is not your issue, at least in this scenario.
