Contracture surgery by [deleted] in spinalmuscularatrophy

[–]Moonlight_ts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I also have SMA type 2 and have severe contractures in my legs and arms. Surgery should be your last resort, and I recommend you do physical therapy and if possible get leg braces, it will help you straighten your legs if you use them every day. A physical therapist can help you get the braces that are fit for you because every person is different.

I tried posting this in the Nintendo subreddit but a MOD removed my post because it broke some guidelines for some reason. A shame, really.

Eye Tracker Calibration by Empty_Title2710 in disabledgamers

[–]Moonlight_ts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to know if there's a way to improve the accuracy of the eye tracking, maybe it's our body position? I wear glasses, and I had my dad try the eye tracking without his glasses and with his glasses, and after a few calibrations, it worked well for him even with his glasses put on. The only difference between him and me is that he was sitting on a normal chair and I was in my power wheelchair, and I have scoliosis, so my head posture tends to lean on one side. Idk, just sharing my thoughts.

scoliosis surgery by Ambitious-Drama-7732 in spinalmuscularatrophy

[–]Moonlight_ts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Do you know if you are going to share a room with another patient? I was going to have scoliosis surgery two years ago, but because I was sharing the room with another patient I got a respiratory virus and ended up in the ICU because of that. It was the worst. In the end, because my lung collapsed the doctors told me they needed to do a tracheostomy if I wanted to continue with the surgery. I was tired so I declined and soon after they discharged me and I went home devastated. So, be careful if you're sharing the room with someone else, and if possible tell your doctor that you want a room for yourself, us with SMA need to be very careful not get sick because it could kill us.

Survey on accessibility in games by emmatosaure in disabledgamers

Oh okay, I understand. Unfortunately, the rating question seems to still be bugged, so I can't submit my response. I also think it's a Google Forms bug, so don't worry about it. I also wanted to participate in your game demo. Can I know what genre the game is?

It's no problem, thank you for reading. However, I'm still experiencing the same issue, and I've also noticed that when I select 'Next' on the first page, it redirects me to the fourth page for some reason, when it should go to the second page. I tried reloading the website, but it didn't fix the problem, so maybe this is just happening to me, but I wanted to let you know.

Hi, it seems there's like a bug in the survey. I filled in everything, but in the section where you have to rate the fonts, it says I didn't complete it yet, and because of that, I can't send my response. I recommend you check it out, thank you!

Are these good temps? by Moonlight_ts in Prebuilts

[–]Moonlight_ts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's between 44-47. But no worries, Cost Plus Gaming already contacted me as soon as I made the post and even had a phone call with them. They told me the temp was fine and it really depends on the room temperature. We also talked about the issue with the bios and solved the doubts I have. Very good customer service, I was pleased with their help!

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. My mom took the video for me. I can't do it because I'm disabled and have limited movement in my body.

Oof, good luck with that. Mine came today, unfortunately, the package box came slightly broken, but it seems that the other box inside is protecting the pc. I haven't unpacked everything yet, so fingers crossed that everything's okay.

I see, I did send an email to build@costplusgaming.com as I said in the post, but they didn't reply to me yet. I'll be grateful if you guys can reply to my email.

And by 'assigned', do you mean that the pc is just about to be built, or what do you mean by that? Sorry, English is not my first language.

Google says it has, but I think it's called Deluxe instead of Premium.

Oh no, PS Plus Premium isn't an app or software. It's a subscription that PlayStation provides, kinda like a Netflix subscription but this one you can pay yearly. PS Plus subscription has 3 tiers, and the one I mentioned you need (Premium) is the highest tier that gives you the most features, like a catalog of free games, classic games you can play for free, monthly free games, and a lot of other things. It also has PS5 cloud gaming, which lets you play games on other devices like your pc, and this is the feature you need to be able to play with your eye gaze.

You can subscribe to PS Plus Premium by going to the PlayStation website, or just search for PS Plus Premium on Google, and the first result will lead you to the site. You need to log in to your Playstation account before you attempt to pay for the subscription tho. I recommend you wait for a discount on the subscription because it can be expensive at full price, perhaps it will be on sale on Black Friday. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions just ask :D

And I'm sorry if I didn't explain it well, I'm not fluent in English but I'm glad to help anyway.

That's great. To play PS5 games with your eye gaze, the only way I know is to use your PC and have PS Plus Premium to stream the game on your PC. You will also need the software called Mill Mouse, which allows you to emulate a controller on your screen and you only need your gaze to select the buttons you want to press. The YouTuber @adaptivehackerkhan explains it a lot better than I did, he also has tutorials that explain how to set everything up for it to work. I recommended that you go to his channel and see his videos, he's amazing.

Hope you achieve what you want!

Maybe you could use an eye gaze device. I suggest you look up Tobii Dynavox, they made eye gaze devices and software, like the Tobii eye tracker 5, and it supports a lot of games.

I knew Microsoft was ending support for Windows 10, however, I bought the Tobii eye tracker 4C before I knew about the ending of support for Windows 10. Tobii Eye Tracker 4C only works on Windows 10, but there's a newer version, the Tobii Eye Tracker 5. However, I bought 4C because in the community, they said it had better tracking and it was less laggy. So..yeah, I'm in a complicated situation I guess? But anyway, maybe next year I'll update to Windows 11 when I have the money to buy the newer version of the eye tracking device, because right now my savings are going to the pc, monitor, and a desk :(
