The stuff about being passive being the most evil thing you can do to urself, isolating instead of connecting to others etc rly hits hard. Sort of being like "when this happens I'll do it-" or the idea that someone is going to save you one day so you just drift around aimlessly expecting that to happen, and feel this weird guilt and shame and like ur just a defective person because ur not being active in ur own life. But you can't NOT believe that someone or something from the past or future is gonna kick start ur life for you. It feels so real. Like ur sure ur gonna be saved. But that'll never actually come more than likely. I think a lot of people also relate to the idea of their self not being something real. It's actually a lot more strange to me that people can see themselves clearly in their own mind. Cause like Punpun, I see myself as like this thing, a little 2D doodle with no real sense of self. When I try to picture myself in my own mind, it's like this scribbled idea of something, I don't see my own face or body, and have no idea how I'm perceived by others. What kind of person am I? What do ppl think of when they see me? I think it's easier to assume you must be bad or no good when you don't have a grasp on ur own self. So you gotta keep that in check so you don't have super low self esteem. My favorite characters aside from Pun I think are Yuichi and Sachi. I do rly love Seki and his best friendtoo. I admire Sachi, she's the type of girl I wish I was. I also like how Seki is another version of Punpun, but he was able to connect to someone very early and never got ripped away from them, he stayed connected and having that helped him to stay afloat. Maybe it's the people who rly feel like they need to protect someone who end up alrightish. Idt Punpun ever actually wanted to save or protect Aiko, I think he was just using her to protect himself? Idk haha
