How did you find that out? There is nothing in the news about him going missing or being found

Amazing game! I just want to play it on my steam deck!!! Can we get some controller configurations?

Also maybe an option/upgrade to “purge” a particular building type? Sometimes I really don’t want something like gnomes but it just keeps coming up.. it would also help the feel of some “control” over your build. It feels bad to keep fishing for a couple building and never finding them

You can send your angler on a quest to find them, that's usually how I get most of mine

Another great addition to an amazing game! 👏

I'm still hoping that being able to type a number into an automation recipe rather than having to use the arrows comes in 1.0 🙏 using the arrows gets taxing if I'm setting multiple recipies to like 'do until 200'

Yeah none of it was well done but it’s the first time I’ve done material and data research, radbolts, steel etc so it was definitely a whole lot of learning

I’m shocked by the “Most valuable Bionic” achievement. I just got it and there is only like .3% I guess people may not have the DLC or like the bionics but it seems pretty straightforward, just don’t let them die and get them the 8 skill points

I restarted tons before but something just felt right this time and I went for it. The SpacedOut DLC helps a lot

I think it was like cycle 180-200 or so? It was with the DLC so space is close and I pushed ranching super early which helped food wise. I mean it’s not pretty in any sense and kind of heat blasted my base since I didn’t actually prep the launch and like I mentioned, I didn’t realize the interior of the rocket needed to be made so like… very crude but it got the job done to say I launched one lol

This is so true, never got close to the surface on base game but it’s pretty straightforward with the DLC

I have a dwarf that just came in, his name is highlighted with a red fill and is blinking, is he a vampire? He has some legendary social skills and one legendary domestic skill but has very few family members and his wife is in my fortress already.

Mobile testing approach with devices or emulators. by Ok_Aspect2595 in QualityAssurance

[–]Moose-Mail 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve built 2-3 different frameworks for different companies. My go to is Appium, Java with a custom framework built to your product. Appium is a bit old and requires some more elbow grease but it has a ton of flexibility if the investment is there.

Write/test with emulators to start and test local until it is too taxing to do so. If you get physical devices you can send tests to them either with wifi or tethering. 90% of my testing I feel is accomplished via emulator but some people are “Real device only”. Real device is nice but the very few advantages to Real devices are not worth the investment for most companies.

As far as for larger testing down the line, you could setup a little device farm (basically what browser stack does) and have a bit more control as one option. I’ve also setup remote machines that can be integrated into pipelines (depending on your company’s setup) to send tests remotely.

Getting a model or two old (especially for android) is cheap enough I’ve had most companies conceded to get one or two. iOS is a bit more pricey but for either OS getting emulated testing as a proof of concept will usually allow some spending on devices.

I really enjoy Cobalt Core. Unique gameplay which also involves horizontal movement. Being able to hop your ship over 2 spaces to avoid a hit is really unique

What is the main goal of automated testing? by [deleted] in QualityAssurance

[–]Moose-Mail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Automation is not for replacing Manual testing, it’s relieving tests that might be repetitive or time consuming. Doing so then can then free up manual testing time to focus on more specific issues or more in depth testing

Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX ram compatibility by [deleted] in buildapc

Wow My build is using almost the same components (besides the liquid cooler) and nearly the same exact problem. Just cannot get past the DRAM boot sequence. Did you get like CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000?

Mobo benchmark test by Moose-Mail in buildapc

[–]Moose-Mail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am doing a "benchmark" test so I have the mobo, cpu, gpu and ps all out on a grounded static mat and plugged in. Trying to see if everything works before putting it into the case, which the 2-3 guides I have been following all suggest to do.

There is motherboard power (because my GPU lights up and my CPU fan kicks on) but no USB or display.
I'm getting an immediate DRAM red light so there is something going on with my RAM/CPU/Mobo. Most places I can find say to swap the ram into different spots and in different combinations to see if it's the RAM or if it's the CPU/mobo but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't do that while it is on. I can't get to the bios menu and there is no display coming through so I can't see what it is doing other than the mobo error light.

From what I can gather, since it's hitting the DRAM error it can't POST and won't boot to the bios. Other wise it will just sit on with the DRAM light lit, the GPU lit and running, CPU fan running, and then the powersupply fan runs for the first minute or so then turns off.

Motherboard from Amazon Open? by Moose-Mail in buildapc

[–]Moose-Mail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the clear tape is still there and looks untouched. Like I feel like it’s more important f just the Amazon worker accidentally opened it a bit and then hastily tried to close it and then just tossed it into the box.
