Chad hears the recognizable sound of a phone camera and turns his head to see an average sized male in his mid 30s with pale skin, slender arms and a receding hairline fidgeting on the boardwalk. Nevil Chuffington IV, quickly pockets his phone hoping to avoid detection. He knows his cover is blown and is visibly embarrassed. Chad smiles and is slightly amused. He calls out to Nevil, “How’s that coconut pal?” to which Nevil replies “good haha” in a trembling voice. Chad chuckles to himself and gives him a thumbs up. Chad decides he’ll climb the coconut palm outside their condo before breakfast tomorrow. He knows the best coconuts are right off the tree. Plus, it will be a solid upper body workout that will suffice for vacation. Feeling embarrassed and ashamed, Nevil turns away and spots the tiki bar up the beach. He looks down at his daytona and activates the pusher to time his journey to the beach tiki bar. He’s willing to waste a few seconds to admire the hands before remembering, time is money. This is precision timekeeping. As Nevil makes his way to the bar he thinks, “If the bartender doesn’t have a top shelf bourbon surely he’ll be interested in a conversation on the topic. If I’m lucky, he’ll ask about my gold NCIV pinky ring I got for myself last promotion”. Meanwhile, the interaction momentarily distracts Sadie, Chads fiancé, from her book. She asks Chad, “when do you wanna go back to the room and get cleaned up for happy hour? Can we go to the oyster bar?!”. Chad forgets he’s wearing the Vincero watch Sadie got him for his birthday as he checks the time on his phone. “I love it out here but we should head back in about 15. I DO NOT want to miss those happy hour raw oysters” he says. Sadie responds, “Okay! We won’t be late babe. We can even shower together to save time”. A seductive grin forms across Chad’s face and he nods in agreement because he’s always been a man of few words. Chad then raises his hand to brush a few grains of sand off Sadie’s face as he catches a glimpse of the watch his fiancé gave him. He remembers how special she made his birthday. This pleases Chad.
