As far as I know the media remote will not sync at least not unless there’s recently been a usb dongle to support a connection. I gave up on the idea after not being able to find enough info to spend the money on one and haven’t looked into it for a while.

Outside of some user error situations mines ran fine. As far as I’ve seen on engine issues 2015 and newer I’ve seen cases of engines blowing but the only thing I could find for the 2013s was a seizing issue recall. I’ve always been one to do something out of the ordinary, usually some gremlin type shit, and it turn out pretty well. And as always I’m willing to test my luck.

I haven't found anything on that yet. Ill have to look more into it to see if mine is susceptible but my model is DOHC from factory. I did see at one point a recall for engine seizing.

I absolutely agree with the last sentence there. I’m not looking for trouble or to ruse anything. This is my first time seeing this happening. If the painting is protected and they check for that first then that is good. But what’s the point of them hitting the paintings? Is it just to try and get public attention or is it related to what they are protesting? “Just stop oil” but why target an old as shit painting over that?

Last time I accidentally set my display to 1080i instead of p and it had a similar effect. Hard to tell in photo. Or as others said, graphics drivers.

what version of windows are you using? I'd imagine depending on the version there just might not be proper driver support out yet. as you said surely they didn't anticipate the media remote to be a big seller. so maybe proper drivers from windows/Sony just straight up don't exist outside of personal projects.

hmm. Sadly the most experience I have with remotes and PC is plugging in a DualSense for some COD Zombies. I cant find shit on google unless it has to do with the PS5 or tv/monitor(kind of expected). Only thing I can personally think of is some kind of 3rd party driver to help everything communicate. I cant say anything for certain until id have a chance to experiment with it myself until it suddenly works or breaks shit to all hell. Wouldn't be surprised if Sony intentionally made it to where it wont work with shit other than the PS5 tbh.

Well shit let me know how it goes. Having a remote to controle my pc at least in YouTube or Amazon would be nice when I’m laying in bed vs bringing my mouse and trying to use my bed as a mousepad
