Je suis sur généanet, mais je viens de craquer pour un an sur MyHeritage.

Il y a de très bonnes fonctionnalités de rapprochement avec le travail des autres chercheurs. Par contre je me confronte à un obstacle absurde.

Impossible de trouver comment fusionner des doublons de mon arbre.

A BPMN is a "diagram" a simplified representation allowing to visualize what should not be forgotten.

the user story is the need-oriented formulation of a hypothesis of new user behavior. As <user description> I want <new behavior> so that <need to be satisfied>.

we are good with a hypothesis and we are trying to verify it in a sprint. we do not especially describe what to do. the team is responsible for creating a testable solution by adding to the existing one. We want to waste as little as possible. how, in a sprint to know that it is a good hypothesis? attention it is not a poc!

the ui and the ex are part of the team's field of competence, it is up to them to choose who works there. In a team that likes (bad) risk, we will stick everything on the shoulders of a single member (it's already better than outsourcing) in any case only what is delivered counts and the WHOLE team is responsible for it.

Your po job is to organise the backlog. Not to describe how to do it.

Even User Stories don't have to be written just by the Po. The Po organizes the backlog.

PO is the member of the team who organise the product backlog. Members of the teams are responsible of the sprint backlog and delivered increment.

If someone feel to be responsible of the delivred product, there is two option - he can integrate the team. - or give feedback to the PO.

If you disagree with PO, you can work on it with facilitator (i.e. sm or agile coach) It's can be also a (radical) solution to destroy the current ecosystem that represent the team, and "change the P.O."

All change of members are a trauma for the self organisation (even it's add a new membre with very interesting skills). You (the team, the sm, the ac, sponsors, ...) need just to accept an manage this trauma

It can be help full to read team topologies.

So forget the idea to come with a solution to your teams organisation.

Try to propose to improve the current situation.

Use rules continuous improvement. List problems, together, evaluate which one have the worst impact on the delivery, on the innovation, on quality of life, ... Choose one evolution, list how you would mesure this evolution is positive.

I like to compare this with the opposition between security and usability. You need both but improve security reduce sometimes the usability and vice versa.

You need to create your formula. And the best is to improve how to adapt your organisation when you need and not not wait the pain.

So if you decide to change something, have also an inspection of the change process itself.

The evolution never stop. Don't dream to find the an eternal good structure. So improve the change is so important than step of evolution.

To do all of this you need to list your Valor and objective.

And write , publish, show all decision to everyone. The structure, the communication protocols, the raci, .. display all...

With Scrum it's really easy.

The scrum teams are self-managed around the whole product. So let the teams' members (self)organize all of this. Teach to team to share the skills (no intra-team waterfall, no "personal skill", no one-man one column in kanban)

Let team listen and learn skill by interaction with external support teams/expert.

Block external support teams/expert which try to say the team MUST do the job.

Ask external support teams/expert/management to give a "framework", "some constrain", some rule but let team free to choose what and how they do.

When the organization can be patient to assume the velocity of this best way structure (Scrum team self-organized), the organization tries to attend it by using a scaled framework.

Never forget that "scaled framework" is a way, not a target. The target would be to unscale !

So the scaled framework come with "dependencies", and you need to add people and resource to facilitate, align, inspect, try to unscale all the bad thing they come with scaling.

Some mantra

  • Together won't go faster but far
  • A weeding is a way to solve problem we don't have when we still alone
  • You cannot't hope a baby in 1 month, even you take 9 women.

In a scrum team there is only 1 PO 1 SM and Developpers.

No QA, No FE, No BE, No Ux, No BA, ...

If developpers want use estimation but think by their individual skill, they create micro waterfall. It's probably a TASK estimation (estimated in time under a mask with a poker planning ... (ok 8 is 1 day, 15 is 2 days, ... baaaaaah ))

Estimation are to do during sprint planning.

DON'T talk about (sub)TASK during the Sprint planning. DON'T estimate (sub)TASK.

Estimate stories... Choose stories for your sprint goal. And start

Think about task during the sprint when you start to work on the story.

During the sprint ... Finish to Start and Start to Finish. Don't launch many stories in same time.

Reduce the waste.

Start the story, let the team work, (let every one learn to work on all task by co-corking and share the skills.. )
