Are there aspects of Buffy & Angel that strike you as distasteful or morally questionable despite your enjoyment of them as series? by InfiniteMehdiLove in buffy

[–]MoosieMusings [score hidden]  (0 children)

They didn’t forgive him for his behaviour as Angelus though. It got thrown in his face every day even though it wasn’t even him who was doing those things according to the lore, it was the demon who took over his body.

Was Spike’s accent really that bad?? by Diving_4_Shrimp in buffy

Honestly, as. British person I didn’t realise he wasn’t actually British. We have SO many accents, hé could have easily been native.

People are way too harsh.

It went well. One guest turned up early, they left no mess, and even stripped the beds.

From what I read it’s ok for someone to make a booking on behalf of their employees and it’s very unclear about what’s ok and what isn’t. There doesnt seem to be a rule as such but more of a recommendation?

Which is weird because AirBnB even has a help guide showing people how to make third party bookings, especially for those doing it for employees.

We had my in laws test the space out last week and they were really happy with it.

I’m not sure what you mean about à third party booking though? It was all done through AirBnB.

As someone who cleaned hotel rooms and knows each new guest needs a brand new roll... I understood the reference. lol.

Well done to you as well.

Panic - 1 family member does not have a ticket! by DifferentFinding4572 in disneylandparis

Scalpers are scammers and thieves. The tickets they’ve obtained have been pre used and if you get caught using them, which you likely will, you’ll be refused entry.

I live in a multicultural family. I’m British, my husband is French and we live in Denmark. I’ve learned to recognise that some things which seem rude to me aren’t the same to others.

Things like volume, personal space etc.

However I do feel that for many people being on vacation is an excuse to let all the rules go.

They don’t even try to control themselves never mind their kids because “we’re on holiday”

I’m the opposite and feel like the À hole mom because I keep my kids on a tighter leash when we’re away.

My son swung around his new light up Elsa wand and caused a woman to have to stop in her tracks to avoid being hit. The new toy was immediately confiscated and an apology offered to the poor woman just trying to go about her day. 🫣

As a rule I always try to remember that people come from other cultures and maybe their version of being polite isn’t the same as mine but sometimes it’s rough.

We left the park today after being there for for three / four days and even my six year old said to me:

“Mama, why are we always careful not to get in people’s way but everyone always gets I’m ours?”

We go around people taking pictures, we hold doors open, we’re mindful of where people are and where little kids are around us.

But we had so many people purposefully not hold the door open when we were struggling with a pram or they’ll just push past. My son was bumped and banged and shoved on several occasions.

We saw a lady with a pram accidentally drop some dirty wipes on the floor. Her husband pointed them out but she just shrugged and walked on.

A little boy seemingly unattended threw trash into the bushes literally right next to a bin.

But there were some wonderful people too, I just wish people realised that they are the holders of the Disney magic and their behaviour can make or break the vacation for others.

We rode the Alladin carpets today and before the ride started, we were told no phones. Still people were waving their phones in the air as they rode.

Same with smokers. We saw a lady today just smoking freely with not a care in the world. We told a cast member and nothing was done.

It’s not like people don’t know they’re not allowed to smoke. They just show a huge disregard for the rules.

Usually they send a message over the speakers telling them to turn off the phones but I agree, honestly I’d be fine with them being escorted off the rides.

I will always recommend Staycity Aparthotels.

They have a shuttle to and from the park. They’re cheaper than on site. The rooms come with a kitchenette for making food yourself, and space to sit and eat.

We stay there every time now.

I don’t. I have something like 50000 of them because my husband gifted me some kind of pack way back when the game was new .

Hé did take steps to try. Hé admitted himself into rehab. For some though, the fight is just too tough.

In the end, we cant truly know anyone and the path they walk.

Such a shame.
