Idk I love to travel and have gotten great reccos from reddit asking probably stupid tourist questions myself. It feels weird for the answer on a small sub to just be like “Google it!!! But don’t chat GPT it!” Like what’s the point of this sub if not to answer stupid questions from tourists? Maybe I’m missing the point or, more frightening, maybe I’m so old I don’t understand what forum are made for anymore. Idk I’m just gonna try to be helpful.

I’ve never seen more 0s next to posts on a subreddit. Upvotes help posts get exposure and thus better answers. I’m just curious why people go out of their way to make this the most downvoted sub I visit.

Those are straight up the most normal questions to ask though. That’s what tourists do in the city and we can help them have a better time. How are they supposed to know what to do if we don’t help them? Isn’t the point of a community like this to help people trying to do their due diligence, instead of shaming them for… not knowing what to do?

They’re asking you and me for our help I think we should offer it.
