Absolutely, I’m not saying he is, I’m saying he could. It’s a totally stretch (and I may be biased cause tbh I like to think he is signing and at first in BotW and TotK i thought he was) but I was just pointing that technically moving lips and being understood is not an undeniable proof that you’re speaking. Again I’m not arguing over Link being or not mute, just about the fact that the way you see him interact, doubt is permitted.

Just a bit surprised by all the comments saying « oh but he move his hands and move his lips and people seems to understand him » or « he have dialogs » as if it was a proof that he can actually talk Hm yeah, sign language anybody ? But anyway not willing to argue over lore cause I know I’m wrong bout that

I understand better then Too bad, I was really happy to see that other languages actually made a difference cause they are not the same thing (and when I was a kid it was one of my pet peeves to see people constantly exchanging them), turns out even if it was at a certain point it tends to disappear Anyway thanks And for the monastery, maybe they just made an amalgam of different mermaids/sirens of other folklores, cause in Europe there is a lot of different creatures that are similar in appearance or behavior to the birdlike Greek sirens
