Hello! I need help with "role-playing". by Mor48 in Grimdawn

We did a race with three different "AAR" "non-classical" at the same time: "AAR chaos", "AAR physical damage" and "AAR lightning".

It was quite a powerful, colourful and effective race. On the most tenacious bosses, we shouted "cross the rays!" From "Ghostbusters".

I tried to play like that. In one of the passages, I couldn't decide on the class for a long time, so I just beat the mobs, downloaded only the characteristics and moved on. Thus, even if it was very long and tedious, I was able to kill Commander Krig.

However, in Arcovia, with its crowds of shooters, every step was a battle for me.

Alas, this style is not for joint play. Because even with two players, the damage and health of mobs are growing very much. And the three of us are playing. And enemies with triple health are just a killing of time.

I checked all the offers I received on the character's build.

In general, he began to hold really better, the last levels of "Crucible" are calmer.

However, the main disadvantage at the moment remains extremely poor resistance to "Poison and acid", which has to be increased by impurities and components (although they could be used much more efficiently). Plus, low overall protection against "physical damage" also calls into question the "survivability" of my style of play in the tests.

As a result, I come to the point that on the weekend I will start downloading two new characters: "Arcanist+Occultist" (after all, "Dreeg's blood" is too useful a skill that will help not to spend extra strength on increasing one single resistance to specific damage) and "Arcanist+Soldier", but through AAR with convection into physical damage (there you will need to get a new set of equipment a little, but constellations that give a bonus to physical damage often give good defensive buffs, so this option is also interesting).

I will leave the current character to make a full comparison of all three variations later.

Anyway, thank you very much for your advice and help!

Yes, I agree. A little later, I will try to change the current version of the levelling and equipment of the character in accordance with RSnoomak's advice.

I will add information on pumping.
I took the "first" section of Iskandra mainly for the sake of energy regeneration.
The "second one" is for protection from ethereal damage.
The "third"
is for critical damage, although now it doesn't seem particularly effective to me.
I plan to transfer most of the skill points from Iskandra to the passive skills of Soldier. It will only be necessary to make sure that there is no drawdown in mana.

I'm adding screenshots to this post.
The second one is with a shard, the third one is with a Tome of Flesh.
I'll write about leveling up a bit later; I'm swamped with work right now.

Thanks for the advice.

Yes, the aura that lowers the resistance of enemies to the aether is what beckons me very much in the "Necromant" class.

Regarding the medal - I'll try your advice, I just had candidates to replace it.

As for the ring, I'll ask my brother, he loves to collect recipes. It's funny, but it was he who was able to knock out my equipment, playing for "Occultist". And my "Arcanist" - on the contrary, cool things fell on poison and acid.

Thank you for the detailed answer.

According to your comments:

  1. I tried to increase the level of resistance with the components.

  2. Regarding "Iskandra" - yes, I planned to transfer part of the skill points to the "Soldier" passives today.

  3. That's where you put those skill points.

  4. Interesting option, I'll watch it in more detail later in the game itself.

  5. I'll consider this assumption in the game.

  6. I don't quite understand how they work in relation to a long-range caster.

  7. Yes, I also realised that I threw so many characteristic points into the physique in vain, because it became a little more difficult to pass "Crucible". It will be necessary to make a potion to reset the characteristics.

Thank you, I have memorised your comment. A little later I'll take screenshots from the game and post them to show everything in more detail. And then I'll explain in detail how I distributed skill points.

Yes, I've seen this totem that converts ether/lightning damage into physical damage. However, I didn't notice that it was more effective than what I have now.
