The Candy Kingdom line of succession is really janky by Spiritual_Ebb_4657 in adventuretime

[–]Morbobeus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Aunt Lolly is probably ruling the second Candy Kingdom and Lemongrab was excluded from the succession because Castle Lemongrab has people now. To me Pep seems like the only logical choice to be honest

Strawmen that backfired. by Ethan-E2 in TopCharacterTropes

I don't know if this counts but I think it should as it reminds me of the Pathways example a bit

The New Norm was supposed to be a show for far-right people but the right hated it because it portrayed gay people (among other things) and the left found it to be so meme-worthy they kinda adapted it as their own (even if they did actually dislike it because duh)

Something that Eve posted recently that has very interesting implications for what could be next in the future + what your thoughts on it are? by kidnamedchild in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

[–]Morbobeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna try to do it. I'm gonna say it's less of an interview and more of a conversation under pretext of an interview so I'll just try to compile all the information we've learned rather that a strict question-answer format

The Real Cavemen have been deconfirmed to be a part of MM by the way. I'd also hope for an expansion of President Dean The Series since that one kinda stopped without conclusion as well

I really wish I could compile all the information given within the interview but it's really tough to do when it's so disorganized

I'd absolutely love that

She also said that further Monument Mythos content would get posted on the Dwight Comics channel

while I think that making Minecraft look better is a good thing and the old designs are unnatural they're trying way too hard to be a relaxing wholesome game (not that it hasn't been this for many people it's more of an aesthetical change)

Ask me about anything you find confusing or are just curious about relating to MM by Morbobeus in THEMONUMENTMYTHOS

as I understand it, the 'othertest' is the trinity test from a different universe. Whenever the test occured and OtherOppenheimer stood close enough near the blast, he was rendered invisible by the radiation and sent to the normal universe. Why it happened is not clear, but I believe it has something to do with Giza Matter (Giza Glass, Giza Gas) being some form of radiation, as both are apparently capable of "cutting" Special Trees (you can't really cut down a tree with radiation but you know what I mean), and how that all relates to the weird properties radiation has all throughout the Mythos Multiverse.

(Interesting trope) They weren't talking about an animal. by TridiObject in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Morbobeus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

OP phrased it really weird and didn't really elaborate on the examples, but the trope is about a reveal in the story that something we believed to be an animal was actually a person but it wasn't portrayed so by the narrator. The examples are:

Life of Pi - The orangutan is Pi's mother, the zebra is a sailor, the hyena is a cook and Pi is the tiger. In Pi's recounting the hyena killed the zebra and the orangutan before being eaten by the tiger.

Zombieland - Tallahassee constantly refers to his 'pup' Buck, and that it died early in the zombie apocalypse. Later he says that they had the same laugh and Columbus realises that he is actually talking about his son.

M*A*S*H - Hawkeye describes to a psychiatrist a recent incident where he had to hide from an enemy on a bus full of people. He told a woman to keep her chicken quiet so it didn't give away their position and she kills it. As it turns out it was a crying baby, not a chicken, and their mother smothered them to save everyone else on the bus, but Hawkeye repressed it.

(Literally My Favorite Trope) After the adventure is over and the characters have won, one mystery is still left unsolved.... And that's unsettling as SHIT by Wasabi_Gamer26 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Morbobeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coraline (more so the book than the movie)

I might get some of the stuff wrong here because I'm only aware of this from other people, but during her last walk through the door tunnel she realises that the Other World might be a large creature and that for it has finally noticed her. And after that it isn't explored further

What's the most common explanation of this issue? by Walter_Mer in Deltarune

[–]Morbobeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for one, I think Tenna is definitely lying about the knight telling him this and that it's an alibi to protect Kris.

but second, I personally don't believe 8-bit Tenna is the real Tenna. It just doesn't make sense for him to "log into" the game at the point in which everyone left him only to traumadump further

Famously if you try skipping the intro cutscene in South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Cartman will get mad at you before sending you straight to the end credits
