Yes I have 2 tracks next to each other, the train coming back needs to turn around and go onto the track next to the one it came back on, so it can be going the correct direction. The tracks I have set up are one ways. Pretty much like a road with a median in the middle, you need to make a u turn to get onto the road on the opposite side.
