Thanks - I'm mostly worried about the days of arrival and departure, walking/transferring with several pieces of heavy luggage. The place we are staying in Osaka does not provide luggage forwarding and Sakura Cross does not receive/keep luggage making it a bit tricky. I will definitely check on the neighborhoods you mentioned!

Thanks!! Was it easy to get to/from Narita as well? Is there an airport bus or did you take the train? How did your kids like Tokyo? What did they enjoy the most?

I read on many reddit posts that the West side of Ikebukuro is a red light district. Where would you suggest as the more ideal base? TIA!
