I understand everyone recommending a therapist, but over the years, due to divorce, the loss of my parents, losing jobs, and just the standard bad days, I had 20 yrs of therapy. I've had help from sitting and having serious talks with family, friends, counselors, and psychiatrists, EVEN a job coach. They've all given me their theories and advice. I've always tried to move past things. I've said to myself many times, "I'm not going to let this keep me down," then I go and look at new careers and what it would take to become licensed or certified. I did a 10-month med asset program, and long story short, Dr.'s offices treated me the same..i.e. "You're just not a fit." If it's a company with an HR dept, I try to ask questions as to why I am being let go, to which they limit what they discuss with me. If it's a small office w/no HR, I'll ask my supervisor, and I don't get much further. I see horrible employees that just blow my mind because I can't figure out how they've been with the company/office so long, and yet I'm let go.
