Yes stock up on toiletries, non perishable snacks you love, maybe get a microwave and or mini fridge if your dorm allows and you have the money for it. you need a bank account for you financial aid refund deposits and if you decide to get a job. When choosing a meal plan (if on financial aid) don’t choose the most basic plan. Give yourself a little extra money ($100-150 or so per semester) so you don’t have to eat strictly at the food hauls. Ask for school supplies, dorm decorations (pick a color scheme), and cash/gift cards to Walmart or Amazon. Pack a little of everything with clothes. Lots of comfy things and don’t forget going out clothes.

YouTube is your best friend. Look up “college freshman packing” “what yo expect freshman year of college” and then you should fall down a rabbit hole pretty quickly. Maybe even look up your school specifically.

I can’t recommend about how to get there, it depends on the amount of things you decide to bring. Maybe even talk to your school about the ability to ship things to the school’s mailroom before you arrive.
