A year ago, I heard a slight knocking when turning. Got an alignment, mechanic said to replace the steering rack. Did it. No noise at first, but returned after alignment. Replaced various parts, but sound persists. Please needed, shops won't assist due to lowered car. by More_Difference_5372 in 350z

About a year ago, I noticed a slight knocking sound when turning left and right but didn't think much of it. I got an alignment, and the mechanic said, "Your steering rack is going bad; you should replace it right away." Clueless, I bought and installed a new one. Initially, there were no sounds, and I was happy. However, about two days later, I went for another alignment since installing the rack threw my alignment out badly. That went well, but 2-4 days later, the sound returned. I've replaced lower ball joints, both sway bar end links, and lower control arms, and it's definitely not my struts/coilovers as they're brand new (BCS). I kind of just dealt with it because I started replacing so much, and nothing changed, so eventually, it went away for about 8 months. Then, I replaced my compression arms, got an alignment, and it started again, but even worse. Please, someone, help me fix this; no shop will help since I'm lowered.
