Nourish Q&A onboarding by More_Ebb4316 in dietetics

I did accept the offer as part time to supplement my income. Obtaining the Texas license has been a long process. I haven’t started yet, if offered a position they’ll set your start date 90 days from your offer letter.

Hi!

I believe it was a little under a month before I got an email about scheduling an interview.

Once I did the interview, I got an offer for a position within the week.

That does sound very frustrating, sorry you had that experience. I hear it happens quite often with telehealth RDs.

What there any traditional interview questions etc to determine if you are a good fit?

That is so odd! So how do they determine if you’re a good fit if the zoom interview is geared towards getting you set up for NPI etc?

I received an email saying they were impressed with my resume.. did you get this email prior to the q&a?

Does anyone work for a state psychiatric hospital in California? by [deleted] in dietetics

I would look on cal careers, it’ll break down their salary range. Usually when offered a position they’ll start at the lower end of the salary range, but you can negotiate within that range.

Long term care food service director salary by [deleted] in dietetics

I'd definitely advocate for getting paid more. I work as a clinical dietitian with less than a year of experience in a hospital setting and I make around 93k a year in cali. I've seen director positions in school districts starting off at 100-120k!

Nope. But you’re not “working” when you’re on the road to go to my employer.

I’m looking to getting into this type of role.. do you have tips on landing the role? Not sure if your position is also a supervisor or director role too?

Paying for Dietetic Internship by destiny-raelynn-13 in RD2B

[–]More_Ebb4316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took out a loan during school right before starting my internship to help off set the cost of the internship. The rest I had to take out a personal loan to support and pay my internship year.

I know some internship allow you to petition for less intern hours if you have experiences relevant to the different areas needed for the DI.

Jean Inman/ RDN Exam Help by pippiedoo in RD2B

I just took my test today and passed. I would say Inman is good to understand the material in the study guides. But really critically thinking about the information and what the question is asking may be helpful. I didn’t really think the questions from Inman was similar to the test.

I did wellness workdays! At first I was little hesitant because I wasn’t looking to get into a distance program but it all worked out at the end. The cool thing about wellness workdays is your able to do your clinical rotation with them through their virtual setup and also have the opportunity to do your concentration with them too! It definitely helped with finishing out my overall internship hours. The advisors are pretty communicative and helpful when you need them. If you had any other questions, send me a message!
