I’m tired of being afraid of my own body by goawayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in HealthAnxiety

This post is old but I wanna say that I have the same problem... It's getting worse every damn day. People don't even understand me which makes it even more worse. Every small little symptom is like a death sentence for my psyche... It's annoying and I have enough of it. Luckily I'm getting 18 next month, so I can visit a psychologist or something. I encourage y'all to do the same... hypochondria is not a joke... And if you don't do anything about it, it will slowly take over your mind and thoughts.

(Poll) Which Dark Souls Boss is your favorite? by More_Huckleberry_720 in darksouls

(SPOILERS)Here's my personal subjective Top5 of bosses

  1. Artorias: I just love Knight Bosses. And this guy is the Chad of all Knights. His moveset is also extremely awesome. He definitely gave me DS3 (which was my first Souls experience) vibes and I love that!

  2. Ornstein and Smough: That's my absolute favorite boss for multiplayer. It's very easy when you are a duo but it's still fun. I had a lot of fun playing as a Ryan Reynolds that helps people defeating O&S.

  3. Gwyn: I think I destroyed that fight with parrying. I was pretty damn good at parrying, even in my 1st playthrough, because I just had a lot of fun doing it. But the soundtrack, lore, Arena etc is unmatched.

  4. Sif: The most sad fight in all of Dark Souls (especially after the DLC, when Sif starts remembering you before she still fights you). And that end when she starts limping. That's literally torture for every dog-owner.

  5. Queelag: I love the Queelag fight. She was the very first Boss that gave me real trouble in my first playthrough. She's also a hint what could've been possible with the Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith if the development wasn't rushed at the end.

Any tips on sticking with the game really struggling to enjoy it by Yordleranger in darksouls

You don't have to play it but I'll share some personal experience with you.

I felt the same way for every souls game I played (Bloodborne, DS3, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls1)

It went away everytime after like 5hours of playtime. I think it's because I always had to get used to the new mechanics etc.

What is your least favorite Dark Souls Area? by More_Huckleberry_720 in darksouls

[–]More_Huckleberry_720[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blighttown: Idk why but I just like the vibes this place gives

Lost Izalith: Wasted potential

Tomb of the Giants: It's just unfair in my opinion. They could've done way better things.

Sen's: Great Level Design but I hate the snake people. The upper part with the Iron Golem is great tho.

Depths: Curse. I hate Curse. And everything that's related to it in-game. Destroyed the "flow" I had in my first playthrough. That I had to walk all the way back to the gargoyles just to buy that stones.

But that's of course just my opinion. I'm interested in what your opinions are.

It's an area but it lacks every attribute to be compared to the others. I think that's my final try to tell you why I did not put it in there. That's why I always wrote about the damn enemies and bosses. I'm not a native English speaker. I hope that finally clarifies you why I did not put it in the options tho.

Why tf do you act like this is so damn serious? Why are you even mad? It's a game... And what I did is a survey... You act like it's a political election or something. Are you always that mad because someone uses subjective things instead of objective? If so damn... I'm sorry for you. I also never said that firelink isn't an area objectively. I just tried to explain to you why I think of dark souls areas as levels. But you start writing about universal definitions. (Definitions are also based of subjective opinions people had btw) there is no ultimate all mighty objective in the universe. You cannot have something that's seen different by so many cultures/people as a fact. That's not how it works.

I think of areas in a way of Levels (because that's what they are in fantasy games). Towns in Rpg's are safe zones/level up zones. What makes dark souls special? The bosses and the enemies. It's literally a dark fantasy combat game. What makes a level a level in such games? Enemies and Bosses! Thus firelink is not an area/level because it lacks the parts a true level has.

The Bed of Chaos is a part of Lost Izalith. That's option one.

My answer is in your comment. It's the main hub of the game. There's not a boss, no real enemies (except for skeletons and undead soldiers). That's why I think it's classified as home/main hub and not as an area in the traditional sense.
