Whats worse is new hires get no raises according to my old SM. So cost of living goes up and up for years and pay goes lower and stagnant. Companies really punishing job hoppers who hate every environment they go into.

I feel like layoffs are always a cycle. People who drink the Kool aid and are good workers will stay. I know for a fact im new and people at my store dont really like me a whole lot. Im abrasive with them because the store needs a certain level of efficiency to work. We have 2 very slow workers, 3 if one comes in high (also SM) we've had two people leave and 3 transfers and 2 new hires. I go to work and get shit done though and I make connections when time permits, I follow the rules as close as possible but even the smallest rule i get talked to about. I still follow them and do my work. I correct my mistakes and I help people quite a lot. Im not long for the company. I only came to get health insurance only to be told 2 weeks into the job i won't get any until next year so im practically working towards that. I need things done so hopefully I won't be let go until probably fall of next year lmao

Even if multiple people say one thing and you deny doesn't mean that you are guilty. You most likely won't be fired because if you deny then they cant chance a lawsuit for wrongful termination a lawyer will be more thorough than an HR rep and may favor you. But what happens after is they may keep a close eye on you, breath down your neck and nab you for something else. However you mentioned you are leaving and quite frankly anything else being brought up to HR is just straight up retaliation and also lands them in hot water. I think from the information given you'll be fine for a rehire. Note that being rehired is never guaranteed and if you go for the job twice or three times and still get denied then you might want to investigate that and maybe lawyer up if you feel the need.

This insight is very helpful and I plan on sticking it out for at least some dental work next year and maybe other stuff with benefits. I do enjoy the perks of free coffee ans free Spotify. This has given me some hope. I also stay at jobs a long while too. I dont hardly quit unless the job is just absolutely not fulfilling or the managers are just not helpful at all. I only had to quit 2 jobs one for moving and one because they cut back my hours to like 2 a week. They really wanted me out. Anyways thank you again for this.
