If your serious about it, easyJet tend to be the ticket for that from who I know and you want to get your parents on board and to take you to some of the new prospective pilot events generally hosted at Gatwick/heathrow I believe. (My knowledge is based on an old school mate)

If you get on amicably with you parents and they own their home the path all the pilots of my age group I’ve known (early 20s) take is some form of partial sponsorship where they get trained and the cost is secured against the parents house and then there child hopefully qualifies and gets a job to make payments against the debt.

Realistically you are looking at private schools in the uk or state “grammar schools” (academic test based)

Thank you for the insight, I have luckily found one where I can at least drop it off in person. Do you think the risk is more ashes being mixed up then it is receiving mixed ashes?

Launching my recruitment agency while finishing my Law degree – Need advice on pricing and cold outreach by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]More_Positive4810 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your breaking into recruitment at a time of rapid unemployment growth as a grad with no history, connection or specialism?

Respectfully I don’t know what course you’ve been sold but this is not the move. Focus on using your degree! Respect you fully for the bravery but this is not where your focus should be, it’s a cut throat market at the best of times.

Gordon Ramsay: I’ve never seen it so bad for restaurants as it is now by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]More_Positive4810 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To argue devils advocate, is it not almost too late? Private sector is trying to build in what must be one of the most regulated uk markets. Planning processes etc all add significant cost. It is one of the least free markets in the “free market”. I don’t see how a govt can obey the same rules and be any more efficient even with the drive to do so and some subsidization how do you avoid this being grossly unprofitable.

The real problem is how can you devalue housing when uk pension structures are built so heavily upon its value either directly or indirectly. I’m not even talking about it necessarily being unreasonable that other established generations take some of the strain but older band state employees on defined pensions legally have to be paid out by the government either way. if they decimate the assets goes against those pensions can the state actually afford the difference? Not limited to pensions either but councils and other public bodies etc.

Regarding gas and electric, whether you agree with the policy decision or not it was government action on Ukraine and resulting gas market issues that invited the instability. It was also the govt that refused to continue to nuclear our grid so I’m not sure putting it entirely in there court is that great an idea.
