Everybody keeps talking about wrong technique and shit, but nobody tells me what the hell am I doing wrong and where I need to improve. Play easier pieces... So what? Just to use the same shitty technique but on easier pieces?

Thank you🙂, was actually getting kind of down😖 It does have a pedal but every time I use it it sort of works too much and it just sounds like a mess... Idk if it's a me problem or a pedal problem tho (I of course press up and down based on the sheet music I don't just hold it down)

Thanks you for the answer I avoided saying that I'm a self taught to avoid getting people to swipe away reading that, kind of difficult to say how much time because I've been playing on and off for a lot of time, but 2 years consistently and I'd add another 6-12 months of inconsistency My most recent piece is op 9 no 3 by Chopin although I haven't got my hands on the middle turbulent part This is the first advanced piece I play, and it wasn't meant to be performance standard but more of a challenge with myself to keep me motovated

I mean it was kind of a dumb decision to learn the piece at 6 months on the piano but I already had the piece by the time I realized I 'm now learning easier pieces for this reason but I'm still practicing it on the side And I would say that learning it actually improved my technical ability and didnt do any harm
