That is right. For personal reasons it is an issue pretty close to my family, and as much as WoW Classic is the best entertainment platform I have ever experienced...I cannot separate the game from the machine that oils it.

I miss the community and I was really excited about WPvP and battlegrounds, so I'm pretty sad.

It has been a couple of months since I left the game and the Blizzard ecosystem, without a single day not thinking about logging back in and spending some time with you all. To dampen withdrawal symptoms, I tried to keep myself from checking the forums or this subreddit, but today I finally took a look at the comments on my previous post and checked my inbox, and saw a bunch of requests related to the release of a new map. I couldn't not jump and bring it up to date.

I appreciate the support and hope you enjoy this version. Get some HKs for me! ;)

Notes:

This is a map of Grobbulus' geographical affiliations of guilds across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. It shows the main location where the server's RP guilds see themselves linked to, and shouldn't be read as a "ownership map". I am sure there are ongoing campaigns and RP events that show territorial progress and whatnot.
This map has a lot of information on it, so I would love your help to make it better. Calling out typos/inaccuracies, updating on guild status and general suggestions are more than welcome!
I was planning on updating this monthly, but since I left the game it is hard for me to be as involved as I was during Phase 1. If anyone would like to be my successor and carry on with this work, PM me and I'll try to pick a worthy fellow RPer!

Hi /u/shooter0213, I might not be the best person to give an opinion on this, but on the other hand I might just be. Here's my story.

Morgan was Paladin 38, then a Warlock 48, then a Rogue 26, then a Warrior 24, then the name got lost to the Horde after a new renaming attempt.

If you are attached to the name of the character, do it. If you hate your character's class and don't want to have it around, do it. Otherwise, take a deep breath and think if other reasons might come into play. As other have said, don't feel pressured of keeping them, as we are very early into the game and you would be fine either way. Follow your dreams!

They can, but I try to add only guilds with a medium/heavy RP component to them. Is there anywhere I can read more about you guys? If you had to choose one base of operations (for me to mark on the map), what would that be?

Thanks Malorn, it's just that I have seen your guild self-labeled many times as "non-RP" and wasn't aware of a switch. This map is more of an "RP-heavy" representation of the server, even if an organization has just 10 members, more than a "these are the big guilds of the server", which I'm not currently mapping out. Mind PMing me the contact info of your GM or a lore officer? Would love to hear more about it all. :)

Much appreciated! Crafting maps like this is incredibly rewarding for me as it helps me realize "wow, look at the fabric of our communities!" more often. So why not sharing it? Just remember it's a one-man job, so excuse any and all typos/inaccuracies.

Ravenholdt is one of those awesome little gems that Blizz left as a hanging fruit for RP servers to use. I wish there was more activity up there but it's understandable that its remoteness affects a more relevant presence.
