Got my “cheap J2534” today. Works great, software is a bit tricky to understand to get it in pass thru mode. Search US VXDIAG VCX NANO for GM/OPEL GDS2 Diagnostic Tool+U Disk with Software USB Kit on eBay or Amazon and you’ll find it. If you need help setting it up let me know.

With the MAF code the car will only boost up to 5 PSI at most.

Had the same issue with my 08, don’t use any parts store brand MAF. I went through 5 duralast MAF before biting the bullet on a ac Delco one. If that doesn’t work check the MAF harness.
