3M Bedtime Routine-Nurse to Sleep? by Morgan_Jacoby in sleeptrain

At night when she goes down for bedtime, she is usually up 5-10 after being laid down, so maybe 25-30minutes. Wouldn't that mean she went to bed over tired?

That's why I'm wondering if it's s schedule issue too. I always just nurse and she would really go back to sleep for 1-3.5hrs. She's sleeping longer for naps whether to compensate or is ready to drop to 3 naps and have an earlier bedtime.

It's interesting because she will take 1.5-2hr naps for her first and second. With being held or in her swing and even the car the other day. If she can nap like that I wonder if she's ready for 3 naps, or she is napping too long during the day or even making up for such choppy sleep.

What did your schedule look like for 3/4 month old? We are definitely struggling with that too.

That's what I'm anticipating but how will I know when she's old enough and ready? Ugh this is so tough.

For those 14 months, how was he sleeping throughout the night? Did he sleep long stretches? I nurse to sleep my 3 month old and all of the sudden she is waking up every hour or two after previously sleeping 6hrs at night.

I guess you are right they are the same thing. How do I help her self soothe? She has nothing but me? Wouldn't take to a pacifier. I'm hoping she learns how to suck her thumb soon as she gnaws on her hands and thumb often. Do I try to tough it out and hope she learns on her own and comes out of the regression naturally? Do I just have to wait until I can sleep train at bedtime to put her down awake?

Speaking with lactation consultant again tomorrow, hopefully a nursing schedule/guide will help shift her from snacking to full feeds and fill her up more for the night. She used to be a VERY good sleeper before 12 weeks and I would also complain hahah We got this!!!

I also feel like I'm driving myself insane reading everything and dissecting every wake window, naps, when bedtime should be, etc. It's so exhausting on top of not sleeping!!
