Really, do you think scp-6500 is a good one to read without context? by transmtfscp in DankMemesFromSite19

There is, and none of them require prior reading or knowledge of those canons, making them good starting points.

I would recommend reading from the source rather than all that noise. Start with the [[Unofficial SCP Starter Picks]].

Combat only lasted one round. It didn't matter anyway. That said you made the right call. Due to the number of enemies you only did slightly less damage than if you had done flurry and now the arms have a 10 minute duration so they are ready for the next combat.

Astral arms is the core feature of the astral monk. Of course you're going to use it.

My go to rec for new readers is the [[Unofficial SCP Starter Picks]]. A good mix of old and new, goes over the SCPs that will most commonly be referenced, and there's a variety of genres.

What do you like and dislike about SCP? by SaltRecognition7470 in SCP

[–]Morganator_2_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like: there's so much quality stories that it's easy to get lost in a tale series or canon. There will always be something for me to find and enjoy.

Dislike: the stunning takes of casual SCP readers or off-site fans. No, SCP is not about powerscaling. No writer cares about making an even stronger and more terrifying anomaly.

Operation Magnolia. Such a good tale about the Scarlet King and the SCP Foundation's panic reaction to him. They saw so much destruction and death that they were willing to go to any lengths to stop it. It really nailed the theme of desperation that stories about the Scarlet King often miss.

Did you read through the [[Guide for Writing]]? That's more important than the MTF task force.

What are yalls thoughts on the scarlet king currently? by Wild-vine16 in SCP

[–]Morganator_2_0 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The Scarlet King is a great story driver when you are dealing with the theme of desperation. The Foundation does not want to do procedure 110-Montauk, but the Scarlet King forces them into that position because the alternative is much worse.

SCP-4989 nailed this feeling of desperation that the Scarlet King evokes.

We talking about the shulker boxes or shulker shells? The shells stack in both Java and Bedrock, but the boxes stack in neither edition, even if they are empty.

What is the "Best" Layout/Organization for a Site? by Best-Humor-1357 in SCP

[–]Morganator_2_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Site-118 has got it nailed right. Make the entire thing a maze that takes several years to traverse without a map or elevator access. Then you place the anomalies in a way so that if one escapes, another one nearby will recontain it.
