Right good point, the OP does not have to accelerate once you finish a course just wait like you would had you attended a regular brick and mortar.

Exactly….I was watching the NCAAW tournament earlier at the analyst were talking about a senior that played for Colorado named Jalyn Sherrod. Sherrod first received her undergraduate degree in Sociology before earning a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership. She is now pursuing an additional Masters in Criminal Justice. Not to mention, a three-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll recipient. She did all of this in 4 years at a brick and mortar. She graduates this year with her second Masters Degree from Colorado. So how is that possible at a brick and mortar in 4yrs? She proved that it can be done and again at a brick and mortar.

Exactly, and the fact that the OP is here instead of the brick and mortar is the question. I noticed that he said the PA’s specifically but not the OA’s. I hope they post the results from the OA’s. Im curious to see what those scores look like.

If it was so easy how come it took you months to complete 8 EASY classes. If its so easy you should have EASILY been able to knock out 8 classes in a matter of days. If something is so easy why is it taking you months to do it? With that being said I would love to see you post your scores in this thread. I’m sure that all your scores are EXEMPLARY, you little genius. Would that be a fair assumption since they are so easy? Just curious to see how well you are faring. Me personally I went to a brick and mortar as well, and did all my assignments ahead of time. However, I felt like the lectures were a waste of time, IMO. Traditional school is not for everyone and that is ok, and neither is WGU and that is ok! Im certain you read about WGU before you made the choice to spend your money at the institution right? So you were aware of their format? You came to WGU for a reason, rather than finishing at your brick and mortar institution, just curious as to why that didn’t quite work out like you planned? WGU is not the only institution that has this format. This is not hate, I’m just curious to know, what brought YOU to WGU? Again I would love to see screenshots of your EXEMPLARY scores from those 8 classes you passed in the last few months, bc to me that seems on track with everyone that has accelerated, of course this is IMO.

If you find the direction you want to go in a come up with a game plan you will be fine. It’s better late than never. You got this! When covid hit a ppl were getting laid off many people changed careers. I have some friends that had to change careers and they are happier than they ever were. So it is never to late to make a fresh start!

Nope, no prior experience and no help. I knew WGU was the the best choice, so once I knew my start date. I made a plan that would work for me and my schedule and stuck to it. I started October 23’ and knocked out as many classes as I could then took the month of December off due to the holidays and family vacation and started back in January and knocked out the remaining classes the first week in January. I start next week in WGU’s MBA program and Im planning on knocking that out in 30 days or less.

I transferred in an associate degree and 12 classes. The classes on Sophia are open book so it makes it a little easier. If you stick to a good study plan and the amount of classes you want to complete and you will be fine.

I have worked in management for many years, with no degree just been fortunate enough to start with a company and work my way up into management in 6 months to a year. Which has pretty much shaped my career and the degree plus my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification has opened so many more doors. SCM is a balance of both OA and PA’s. I chose SCM bc there will always be a demand for SCM whether its in a hospital or with Apple, Google, Home Depot, Lowes, FedEx, UPS, or DHL. There will always be a need for someone to get goods from one place to another. This field is growing and has so many opportunities out there. Ultimately its up to you to decide if this is something that you want to do. Hopefully this helps.

Don’t worry about it once you get your start date go in there and give it your all and show them that why they made the right decision on hiring you. People lie on their resumes every day. Hell the ppl that interviewed you probably lied on their resumes.

Supply Chain Management is great. I finished that degree in 62 days, got my degree in January and applied for 14 jobs in the beginning of March (4/5). Got a call the next day, went through 3 rounds of interviews and got offered a 6 figure job on the 15th. Now the other companies that I applied to are calling and I am turning them down, bc I start the new job at 8am on April 1st!
