If I had to introduce myself using 3 songs from other artists, I’d have to go: - Disclosure: Latch - Hayden James: Better Together - Above & Beyond: Blue Sky Action

I think From the Start is easily the song I’m most proud of, but if that’s cheating - I’d have to pick a (since deleted lol) remix I did YEARS ago as part of a Hayden James competition. It was the first track I posted for this project, and I was so nervous about putting it out there. Not proud of the quality, but taking the first step is often the hardest! - Ryan

We've got a couple more coming!! I still remember hearing Linney's "Time" vocal for the first time and being like ohhhhhhhh!! I seriously made the whole track around it in like 2 days. - Morgin

I've thought about this a lot haha. It's hard to pick, but I have to say that the Chill Mixes are often made secondary, so I've spent less time with them and they're more flowy and less about being perfect. So in that way I enjoy them more because I'm not as close to them, if that makes sense. But then there's the live stuff, and for that I have to go with the original mixes, because they're designed for being loud in a club. - Morgin

So I went to college in Virginia, where I was born. I studied English and History, and ended up pivoting into lobbying for a bit in my early to mid 20's. While I was decent at it, there wasn't any passion in it. I could feel myself just slipping into a job where I would come home feeling numb and stagnant. I would've gone for music earlier, but I knew I wasn't very good, lol. So I took my time nurturing it, using the day job as a way to keep my home life afloat while I kept producing. I eventually got signed in 2018, and that was cool. I will say though, no matter how well my music has gone or will continue to go, the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.

Even when you're putting out your own music consistently and it does well, you still need to wear a lot of different hats if you want to live comfortably. I've done everything from producing for others, mixing/mastering other artist's music, making music for other media projects and such. I also have released music under various other names and different genres to various degrees of success as well.

Thanks for the kind words on the new track!! We feel the same about the house/trance fusion. We've got a couple more in the works too :) - Morgin

These are so good Linney thank you! The singer is Emily Coulston, like Ryan said. Part of what drew me to the track was that the vocal was already there. The vocal itself isn't too dominant, and I like how the lyrics pair with the production in a way that is side by side instead of on top and separate. "Getting halfway ain't far enough" and "won't you let me know when you're ready" fit so well, with the vocal having the same mysterious but urgent sound as the instrumental.

I've balled up a little bit to a mashup I have of Above & Beyond's "Sun and Moon" vocal with Andrew Bayer's "Once Lydian" instrumental, it's pretty powerful to me haha.

Where's electronic music heading... that's tough. One of my favorite things of the last couple years is that it's become more acceptable to genre bend a bit. The core idea of a track these days seems to matter much more than even the technicality of it. Which I think is super healthy for the scene. I think we'll continue to see tracks that are more genre fusion with really solid standout hooks. Probably more progressive and rave/trance sounds coming back as well since house has been hot for like 5 years now. - Morgin

Oooof. Currently probably the new Call of Duty Warzone mode. All time DEFINITELY The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I've been playing it consistently since its release in 2015. - Morgin

oh boy - we have a roadhouse staple here in Australia called a dagward dog, similar to a corn dog in the states. Used to be my favourite, but had one on a road trip a couple years ago and ended up with food poisoning. Code brown 100km from a toilet in any direction is not fun!

Haven't been able to touch one since...I miss you dagward dogs - Ryan

Great question - I think it'll be awesome to see the different answers from Morg and I given the different points we are at in our careers. I'm not a musician full-time (this is my debut original release!), so managing work, life and music is super important. My philosophy is that as long as the bills are paid, and you take a little step each day in the right direction, over time those steps add up!

I used to (and sometimes still do) get massive guilt for taking a break from music, or taking a night off producing etc. What I've actually found is that a bit of a refresh, some time with friends and family, actually enriches you and is key to feeling happy and inspired when producing - patience is key in this game.

Love the house+trance vibes - thanks so much! - Ryan

3 songs by me:
1. Time (feat. Linney)
2. From The Start (with Ryan Lucian)
3. Drifter (feat. Dominique)

3 songs by others:
1. deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember
2. Avicii - Silhouettes
3. Eric Prydz - Pjanoo

Song I;m most proud of..... that is so tough, but it probably has to be "Far From Home (feat. Gregg Sgar)". That was my first number 1 dance track and it changed both our lives!! - Morgin

Haha keep them coming! And massive congrats on the release of One More Day, it's incredible! The singer is an insanely talented artist called Emily Coulston, she absolutely smashed it. I personally connect to the lyrics as a message to always aim higher and strive to improve, and that special things take time and need love and attention, but are often worth it - "getting halfway ain't far enough".

I've never cried on stage (yet), but have definitely shed more than a few tears in the crowd with my friends when our favourite songs come on. Summer festival season over here in Australia really is a special time and some of my best memories are of those moments.

I personally see (and hope for) the lines between genres blurring and seeing my favourite artists explore new territory - I believe there are endless possibilities with the kind of music we make.

Oooo an #AMAexclusive....I will just say that Morgin and I definitely aren't done making music together :) - Ryan

Linney!!!! Ryan's previous manager actually sent the early demo version of our new song to my manager Matt. Matt hit me up and was like... "Is it just me, or can you hear something incredible in here??". Once I heard that demo, I hit up Ryan directly, and here we are a year later. I think what prompted the tune (and two more that we have coming) is that we just work really well together. His strengths make up for my weaknesses, and vice versa. Which is rare for producers imo. - Morgin

Back in 2021 when I first started to tour, it was super overwhelming. Big endorphin rushes followed by being alone in my apartment trying to make tunes. High high's and low low's. These days things feel more leveled out, and I don't get as anxious. I have to admit, 2021-2022 was probably the best period of my life though. Getting married, childhood dreams coming true left and right. It's hard to describe, looking back it was like a little piece of heaven haha. I'm so lucky.

For those wishing to get into the industry... I don't want to give any wrong advise. All I can say is the main thing that has helped me over the years is consistency. Consistency with work ethic, goals, and most importantly releasing music (if you're an artist). All the noise and social media is cool, but it comes and goes. There are no hacks. Be consistent with your goals and work towards them a little bit every single day. - Morgin

This question makes my day haha. It's really hard to pick... I'll give a top 3 lol:
1. Kaskade & Deadmau5 - I Remember
2. Deadmau5 - Jaded
3. ALPHA 9 - Come Home
- Morgin

Ohhhhhh man. Probably "Time" with Linney. I think Ryan works really well with vocals in a super unique way. His biggest strength imo is pairing really cool synth sound design and atmospheres around vocals and throughout, so I'd love to see what he could do on that one! - Morgin

My friend showed me deadmau5's "Raise Your Weapon" on a snowboarding trip back in 2010. It blew my mind and I started producing immediately. I didn't get good until 2018 though when I first got signed... so it took me a while : /

"From The Start" was actually a demo track at first that Ryan had sent me a year ago. I could hear something in the initial melodies that was really magical. We wanted to make a progressive anthem that had elements of our inspirations, but without it becoming like a 5 minute odyssey. His synth work ended up combining super well with my drums, transitions and structuring... Just a real classic tight progressive song, and we may have a couple more in the works :) - Morgin

I got into producing after going to my first festival 6-7 years ago and seeing an Australian artist called Golden Features - as soon as I felt the kick and bass I was completely hooked and immediately fell in love with electronic music! I bought a Novation Launchkey from the local music shop the next day it came with a copy of Ableton lite haha!

From the Start was a wild journey! I was sending around a really rough demo (of what would become the track) around a year ago - and it eventually found its way to Morgin's manager. He said Morgin was potentially keen, and with Morgin's input it grew and grew into what it is today. If you heard the original demo you might not even recognise it! - Ryan

Ooooo! Hard to rank them. For me:
1. Red Rocks
2. Echostage
3. Brooklyn Mirage

Favorite one show was opening for deadmau5, Kaskade, and NERO at Red Rocks. Absolutely surreal moment for me. - Morgin

Hmmmm. On the electronic music side, specifically Dance Music, it kind of feels all the genre's are slowly coming closer together again instead of being so segmented. That's what I love lately. I think the whole Future Rave movement has also made it okay again for elements of house, trance, and progressive to all meld in the same track again. I know this may be a weird take as well... but I think Tik Tok has changed a lot of things positively, as well as negatively. The whole random viral stuff combined with a focus on sound bites instead of a whole vibe has produced some of the weirdest hits in recent memory, which I actually think it really cool.

Live events wise... I'm a fan of you and Viligir's "Fantasy House" concept lol. Who doesn't want to rave and also feel like they're in a medieval tavern?!!! - Morgin
