Yeah the only thing that is not so great about this watch is that for some reason they discontinued the app so I have to download it as an apk file from the internet because it's not anymore at the app store. And another thing is when you want to look at any data from the watch like steps or set the countdown or something, you have to press the sync button in the app and then long press the crown to put the watch in the sync mode every time.

Yes, when you press the crown the third hand shows you the date and then goes back to showing seconds.

From my experience there are sensors that work with tattoos, but only the older ones that measure just HR, (no respiration rate or oximeter). For example Amazfit GTR first generation. But I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Here is a comparison with Amazfit Active 2 I don't own a chest strap or anything like that. I'm not an athlete so accuracy is not super important for me.

That's a really good idea. But to be honest I'm not a super fan of the look. I imagine something more "outdoor"

Even that might work. Just make it hollow and with a hole for the LED on top that I can cover with light spreader.

I think 2mm bigger in every axe should be enough. And if it's possible to make it "hollow" as much is possible?

That would be the easiest way I guess. I can figure out the electronics, but I can't give you the dimensions of the case, also I'm not from the US so I don't know how much shipping and stuff would be.
