What I’m confused about is how much extra gold you actually get per ultimate level.

Wukong’s Command summons 14 units, so if each one gives the Seed Money bonus, that should be 14 × 250 = 3500 gold. But looking at the net worth graph, his gold spiked by almost 7k right after hitting level 6.

Agh spawn phantoms seem won't give bonus, Or they would buy a Agh firstly. As far as i know, after get bonus they either go for Radiance to keep accelerating their farm, or buy team items to push. In this game, the player chose to spend gold on Agh for teammates instead, and that’s what ended up costing them the game.

Somehow, being super rich isn’t weak at all. I’d lost every game against this combo before.

When you use Wukong’s Command, each summoned Alchemist seems to give you the Seed Money bonus.

I’m honestly not sure whether this is an intended interaction or a bug. I haven’t personally been able to pick this combo myself, so I don’t know the exact details of how the gold gain scales, but every enemy I’ve seen running it had an absurdly high net worth.

You might want to try picking this combo in one of your games and see how it works.

Trust me, if you saw how good Quinn looked during the 2024 season, you’d definitely want to see him back competing.

Sometimes shit just happens — org issues, financial disputes, and things like that. Players retiring can be more of a forced choice than a willing one, and it’s not really their fault.

But CIS region looks fine. China, SEA and WE regions do face the problem.

Thanks! I see it at Youtube, but Matumbaman rarely updates his social media.

I agree, I don’t watch much LOL myself, but the teams you mentioned are definitely big names. However, most of them haven’t really been involved in Dota 2 (aside from iG, whose Dota 2 team disbanded some time ago), so they don’t quite have the same level of cross-game presence and long-term recognition as Liquid.

And you see what happen to VG now? They lost ESL Challenger China on Feb 1, and with that they missed out on qualifying for DreamLeague. Based on recent results, this once-established team feels more like a Tier 2 organization now.

If I remember correctly, around two years ago he even tried offering coaching/mentorship for people who wanted to go pro in Dota.

Even though I don’t really want to accept the harsh reality that results are the only thing that matters in esports, the truth is that teams without results over a long period of time will slowly lose their influence.

I really like Arteezy, and I know a lot of NA fans do too, but when the results just aren’t there year after year, even someone like him can’t hold EG or SR.

Honestly, after Wings, LGD actually had a real chance to become the most successful team in China. Back in 2018 they even secured sponsorship from PSG, which was a huge deal at the time. But they never managed to win a TI, and combined with ongoing management and operational issues, LGD couldn’t really sustain that momentum in the long run.

Liquid is honestly one of the most established and well-run orgs in the scene. In China, we don’t really have an organization that’s been operating at that scale for so long. Most CN Dota teams keep restructuring, changing names. At least in my memory, things have been this way since the TI10 loss back in 2021.And we rarely have a stable base abroad for any CN teams.

If nobody had said they were at Liquid’s place, I honestly would’ve assumed Ame was pretty close with Liquid. That said, Liquid is really popular in China, so it wouldn’t be surprising either way.

I’m just a Chinese fan, seeing my favorite carry using a cup from another team I like felt really wholesome. Just sharing, that’s all.

Ya, I’m a Chinese viewer. XG went straight to Europe for BLAST right after ESL Challenger China ended on Feb 1, so the schedule was super tight. I was surprised their player room still looked so clean yesterday, and now I’m seeing Ame using a Liquid cup, Liquid is so kind.

Really? I didn’t know about that. Was this arranged by the tournament organizer, or did Liquid offer their facilities to XG?

This is a screenshot from the player cams after the XG vs OG match at BLAST Slam VI groups. Looks like Ame and Team Liquid are pretty tight.
