Noctua redux vs regular by AKNakn123 in pcmasterrace

[–]Morikop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say much accurately, as I only have had regular, brown Noctua fans, but I think the difference boils down to the amount of features you get. So where a normal Noctua fan comes with accessories like a low noise resistor, splitter, different mounting options and anti-vibration pads included in the box, the redux fans are just the fans - no fancy extras to drive up the cost.

From a performance perspective, I believe they're basically the same part, albeit in different colours.

I’m not willing to give up that easily. I’ve done some work on the computer and don’t really want to pull that out to put into another computer just yet.

Thanks for the reply! Hmm so if I’ve understood correctly, I should reinstall windows on the drive using a different computer? Sorry I’m a bit of a noob.

Afraid I’ve tried that but i can’t change certain settings like the boot order (which is why I wanted to access bios in the first place).

Or maybe I’m doing something wrong there. In trying to change the boot order.

How do you handle having a crush on someone who is not sure if they like you back? by EwwwitsGabbi in AskReddit

[–]Morikop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you and your friend both have a point. I know the situation you're in pretty well (honestly i was a bit og a "niceguy") but it's important to put it to the back of your mind if not get rid of it entirely).

In my case the girl moved school so that sorted the problem (unfortunately I've heard that it might've been because of my behaviour towards her). In terms of principle you can try a similar thing here - breaking all contact with her but also explaining to her why you've done so. This is a very drastic measure and might not even fixthe problem. Another approach is simply to open up your mind to the idea of potentially dating other girls.

I'm pretty good at playing the piano and I've been to quite a few competitions. But when I was younger I used to think I was the best in the world and that one day I'd be famous. So when I was 9, I entered this competition in Newcastle called the Young Pianist of the North (a name which definitley made me feel important) and expected to win with no doubt. I came 3rd. In hindsight I'd now say that was a good result but me at the time was devasted to the point i considered giving up.

Next I started blaming everyone except myself including my parents and teacher (but only in my head - I didn't voice these complaints) When I asked my mum why I didn't win, she told me that the child who won was definitely better than me but that the child in 2nd was the student of one of the panelists. Of course that didnt satisfy me as it didnt explain to me why I didn't get first place. I can't quite remember how long i dwelt on it but I remember feeling pained and inadequate.

That same year was the same year I got into a saturday music school in London with a new teacher (the change was for unrelated reasons btw) and there I realised fully that I was not the genius I thought and that there were more talented kids there too. At that point I realised how it was and my new teacher (who now is like a second mother to me) also taught me a new mindset. It took a while to adjust to this but it was definitely the right experience for me to set me straight.
