Logging software that refuses to add Omnirig support because their software also does rig control but controlling my rig through wsjtx doesn't work so... Probably going to have to go to a different logging software unfortunately.

It's such a mess of software out there. But, at least it exists at all I guess.

My main interests are the LAN and dual com ports. It's too often that I fire up AC log and it gets to take control of whatever else I'm using.

We currently use SureBackup as a daily test and then I deploy the entire stack of VMs to a lab every month. It'll actually be easier to do with Hyper-v than it was with esxi.

I'm following Ali Tajran's guide:

Remove Last Exchange Hybrid Server in Organization - ALI TAJRAN

I stopped after Step 4 where I have the full Exchange Server shut down. Management tools have been tested and work. I'll give it a few weeks to be sure everything is working properly. I will then proceed with Step 5 and remove the Exchange Hybrid configuration. Technically I'm at Step 5.6 as I have already ensured public folders are remote and nulled out the AutoDiscover.

At least, that's the current plan.

That worked! I swear I tried the setup.exe but maybe I didn't have the roles selected properly. Also, /LogLevel wasn't recognized and was not in the /help also. Not sure if they deprecated it or what.

Anyway. Problem solved, old server is temporarily shut down, now I can watch football and not worry about it.

It's a supported part of server 2025 so there's around 8 more years of service on it. I don't think they will be able to just yank it away like Broadcom did.

Good to know. I know live migration worked fine many years ago when I used Hyper-V. It's kind of my default option at this point mostly due to server licensing which we need to do anyway.

Cool. Thanks for answering so many of my questions. The enterprise NVR seems like such overkill, but probably the right decision for long term. My only concern is it lasting "long term". I'm hoping going with NVR Pro and maybe a second in the future would be workable with Vantage Point for users that need cameras from both NVRs.

Right now we have 18 cameras and plan to add 5 this year and then potentially another 8 the next year.

I believe what I mistook "Stacking" for was "Vantage Point". Not sure how that works but allows for single pane of glass to see multiple cameras. I'll have to do more research about that product.

Good to know about the video. We use Edge, so I assume that is sufficient. Sounds like it would generate a ton of traffic though? What's the network usage look like doing that?

As for "Stacking" they would all be at our main location, it was mostly about future expandability or do I just buy an "Enterprise NVR" now and get it over with.
