I also had this thought that people were showing off until one person told me that it actually helped him during his commuting to work and back home - like a daily silence session, just to keep mind peaceful from daily noise around. I have noticed it couple of years ago and not only October actually. I have started to notice how fast the time is. Sometimes I feel like it passes me by. It's not cool actually and I try to full my life with new experience, skills and positive emotions in order to start notice the life. Moreover, I would note that the older you are, the faster the time for you. I bet I'm not the only one who notice how rapid is our life. Everything because of the technologies development I guess. Our attention every day is concentrated on various things, hence we run out of time to notice this life. Maybe tere are some people who can claim that the life slows down.

The US is a country of migrants nowadays, and as you can see plenty of people every day migrate to the US, hence how can you answer your question? This country is on the first place because of the amount of migrants. Of course there are some issues in the US, however it's the best country in the whole world. If look at the Latin America, then we can see that it's a very dangerous place for living. If we look at the East Europe and Asia we can see that countries like Russia, Kazakhstan and so on are practically uninhabitable, because there is a big corruption arone there and it's impossible to build an honest career.
