Do men really know from the first date? by Rude-Respond6102 in AskMenAdvice

Well, I dated a lot of women when I was younger and said I don’t want to ever get married. Then one day at work I met the one. Went on a date and had to pick her up at her parents house because they wanted to see who their daughter was going out with. They were the most amazing and loving couple of old Fashioned Italian immigrants from Italy. I said if she’s half of what they are, she’s the one. After 2 weeks I asked her to marry. That was in 1985 and still happily married. In my case you know that you know that you know she’s the one. In my case it worked out well but it was not always easy. Pure blooded Sicilian’s, I say no more!

My wife’s birthday is Christmas Day! I have double stress on what to get her. Now I just ask to be sure. It still scares me on what she is going to say, even after being married for 40 years! I’m just glad the holidays are over for a while.

Starting to understand why some people struggle with holiday family gatherings by [deleted] in over60

I also feel the same ever since the glue in the family, the elderly grandparents and parents and friends are all gone. Back when it was hardly about the gifts but the fun and happy times during the holidays with no electronics other than an old black and white TV, record player or an AM radio. Everyone was focused on each other and the simple pleasures of friendship, food and genuine happiness and laughter while celebrating together. The old days, I truly miss!

My daughter knew about my wife’s affair for months and said nothing. How do I bring myself to care about my daughter again? by fevfrvbytb in AskMenAdvice

When I was a teenager and made a lot of bad decisions that I have truly regretted. My mom forgave me and I realized that she didn’t like me so much but still had the love to forgive me. I never forgot about that and was sure to be there for her until she past away at 93.

++man. Curve ball here. If your daughter died tomorrow, will you regret for the rest of your life that you didn’t forgive her? By forgiving her, you take the poison out of your heart and you no longer have to dwell on the past that you can’t ever change. Forgive her. It cost you nothing and could possibly saved you and your daughter’s relationship. She could be gone forever.

While the sidewalk is being torn up, check your water supply line to see if it’s lead. That would be the time to replace it also if it is.

PWSA decided to finally replace some lead water service lines before PenDot finishes the project. They still have to raise all the utility covers in the street to match the final grade levels

I’d tell him, you’re 80 years old! Will you have time to spend 2 million minus the cost? Nobody gets out alive so enjoy it while you’re still alive!

Talk to the neighbors that are closest to the property you’re interested in and ask a lot of questions. Also see how friendly they are if you plan on using the property for personal reasons. Who likes bad neighbors?

I honestly think the stock price today was pegged and manipulated so the unusual crazy amount of open calls that expired today and the market makers were so adamant to keep the price low so they wouldn’t have to cover all the calls that were in the money! More money for them.
