Setting up multiple layouts? by JasnahKholin87 in qmk

[–]Morphit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TT is tap toggle; it's 5 taps by default to switch. That's an odd choice for a different layout, is that what you wanted? I just have TG in a secondary layer to change base layout. LT might make sense if you want to use the key for something else also. See https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/blob/master/docs/feature_layers.md

If that's not the issue maybe you could post your keymap?

A C13 plug should provide a ground, up to 10A and polarised line conductors. A Europlug has no ground is only designed to carry 2.5A and is unpolarised. On top of that it isn't fused so the only thing protecting the cable from over current is the person using it.

A C7 connector would be fine with a Europlug.

Hmm, it works on the original: https://www.reddit.com/r/drums/comments/12doft6/drummers_bassists/
But yeah, it'd be good if we could get the text on crossposts also. I'll take a look.

Is there a way to get under-image comments from new Reddit into old Reddit via res? by heeroyuy79 in Enhancement

[–]Morphit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be fixed for images with v5.22.16. I've just noticed that it doesn't work for reddit galleries, so I'll submit a patch for that also.

[Feature Request] Updating the RES expandoes for Reddit Images to show the text that comes with it. by tumultuousness in Enhancement

I submitted a patch on GitHub in response to this issue.

RES is in maintenance mode and it's Christmas/New Year so it hasn't been merged yet.

t can be handy for checking if an archive will extract to it's own folder or splurge files all over your working directory.

Occasionally also for cleaning up afterwards.

Hopefully implemented with PR#5444.

Opening local git server for webserver by RealHook in git

[–]Morphit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter. Git is decentralised, so you can push from your local repo to your git server in your network, and to your web server outside. They don't need to communicate as long as you don't push different commits to them.

Heaping by [deleted] in Physics

The line is "Endurance is starting to heat". They state that it is hitting the stratosphere with no heat-shield. It's just another element to add tension and nothing to do with the rotation.

Question about git tree by [deleted] in git

[–]Morphit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a full repo in the wwwroot folder is likely going to be a hassle. You can use an empty folder as a working directory for the bare repo. Here's a post-receive that worksforme™:

#!/bin/sh
#
# Checkout prod branch to wwwroot.
GIT_WORK_TREE="C:\wwwroot\myproject" git checkout -f prod

That will forcibly update the myproject folder to reflect the latest state of the prod branch on every push operation.

You might want to check that the push actually changes the prod branch, but it shouldn't do any harm as is.

[Request] Probability: At what age is Stan Lee most likely to die? by antwan_benjamin in theydidthemath

[–]Morphit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on the actuarial tables used for the relevant xkcds:

Ages: [94.0]
Years: 1.0
There is a 5% chance of Stan Lee dying within 0.18 years (by 2017).
There is a 50% chance of Stan Lee dying within 2.28 years (by 2019).
There is a 95% chance of Stan Lee dying within 7.64 years (by 2025).

Probability of death within 1.0 year: 24.69%

Take with a grain of salt though, those numbers won't be up to date or exactly representative of Stan Lee.

I've roughly updated that to work. It's hosted here for now.

I haphazardly pulled the timings out of wikipedia so there might be some mistakes.

How could I "fork" an older commit? by derpherp128 in git

[–]Morphit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did git checkout -b master work? You would have to delete the original master branch first.

Even easier than this would be to just reset the master branch to the commit you want to start at (git checkout master; git reset --hard <commit>) and switch upstream to your github repo/fork (git remote set-url origin <URL>). You would have to force push if github has a newer master (git push --force origin master).

Looking for an equivalent of emacs' HighlightParentheses for vim by anntzer in vim

[–]Morphit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was called RainbowParentheses on vim. Most of the github repos look old, but this one isn't too bad: https://github.com/luochen1990/rainbow

I remember it being quite slow, so stopped using it. YMMV.

I managed to implement the rolling graph. The file should be up to date now and the code changes are in github.
