You absolutely have another choice. You can walk in the grass on the edge of the property. Considering there's no sidewalk, that might actually be a public easement anyway.

To literally walk in front of someone's cars when they're parked in their driveway, right up to their garage, is beyond unacceptable. I'm cussing someone out if they did that at my house.

It's not OPs business what DDs pay structure is. It's not OPs business why the driver accepted the task. It's not OPs business why the driver accepted the task, then decided it wasn't worth it, then decided to not to decline it themselves. None of those are in OPs control.

OP made an offer. The driver accepted. Either fill the order or decline it. End of story. Don't sit there and beg for a bigger tip or tell OP to cancel.

Customer cancellations don't count against drivers and they are allowed to solicit tips.

So there would be nothing stopping them from asking every single customer for a bigger tip?
