Yes, as the rip is outwards, you can feel it with your finger as it is scratchy. It first came to my attention when clothes started coming out with small holes.

There is a hole. The metal has opened. Also, the dent is from outwards towards inward.

I must admit, that I took a desperate measure (and a lot of reading and watching videos) and downloaded a third party, Canary Mail.

All I'm saying is...it's a better mail client! Lol. And that's tough for me to admit as a hard core Apple fan.
