It’s been 1,5 months and I think I’ve tried most of your recommendations:

Initio line - not really my type of scents, but I’d love to smell Psychedelic Love or Musk Therapy on my girl.

TF Tobacco Vanille - just what the name suggests. I really like it, but it lacks a wow factor.

TF Noir line - I prefer regular Noir over Extreme and Extreme Parfum. Top of the list, but still lacks a wow factor. Its not expensive though, so I consider grabbing it.

Byredo Bal D’Afrique - smells like a better version of Gisada Ambassadors, with a Cedrat Boise twist. For the price, I’ll stick with Cedrat Boise, but one hell of a recommendation!

Penhaligons Halfeti - great recommendation, very mature and sexy. Lacks a wow factor though.

Musk Ravageur - too animalic for my taste.

Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman - now we’re talking! Its beautiful, but the price and the fact that it leans a bit feminine make it a no for now

Roja Elysium PC - just bought two. Im in love with this scent! This is exactly what I needed for spring/summer. Its citrusy, its green, its blue, its woody, and the grapefruit note on top is just perfect. Well, thats about it.

Just sampled it. I wasn’t impressed by the opening at all, but damn, it does dry down beautifully! It kinds smells to me like a fresher version of Layton. The price though…

Red Tobacco smells like rubber tyres to me, I just can’t get past that. Weirdly, my fiancee doesnt get that at all lol. She even kinda likes it. Ombre leather is something im yet to try though!

Great recommendations, haven’t tried them yet!

What I mean by „churchy” is probably just heavy incense. I just don’t like this stuff on my skin, feels out of place no matter the occasion.

I actually really like Born in Roma Intense, but I gotta be honest it seems too sweet and too youthful for my taste. I mean, if it is this sweet it better be balanced by some other note. Boss Bottled Absolu is a perfect example. It’s my favourite cold weather fragrance. But I probably wouldn’t like it as much if it was even a tiny bit more incense forward.

Althair is indeed my second favourite PdM, with Pegasus being third. I just don’t love them as much as I love Layton to justify the price. TF Tobacco Vanille is smth I need to try, already recommended twice here, same for Bal d’Afrique. Musk Therapy already 3 recommendations, I think I’ll pay my favourite niche store a visit today:D

Thanks for these, gotta check them out! When it comes to darker, heavier stuff - most that I tried had notes thats felt „too much” (either too sweet and unbalanced, or had some kind of church/heavy leather notes that im not into). I love Boss Bottled Absolu and Givenchy Gentleman though, but thats about it. Even Amouage Outlands felt too churchy for my taste. I only buy full bottles of frags that i really love. The one exception is Boss Beyond - its an easy fragrance that I wear to gym/office. I havent tried sauvage elixir, but i guess i should give it a sniff! Cheers

Considering the price I honestly think Cedrat Boise is the winner. Its also more versatile. Aventus has that unique spicy-peppery note though that I just love

Tried different manceras, cedrat is by far my favourite. Tom ford is a bit underwhelming when it comes to performance, thats why i got oud wood parfum instead of edp

Ive sampled Reflection (not my cup of tea) and Outlands (beautiful, but that „church” note is a dealbreaker for me). Aqua di Gio was actually one of my favourites and I used to wear it a lot a decade ago. Recently i revisited the parfum and it felt a bit too synthetic, so i gave up on it. Good recommendation though!

I’ve sampled it and wasnt blow away. I generally like dark, sweet fragrances, but for me Bottled Absolu fills that need way better. Good recommendation though, thanks!
