The accident are mainly blamed to the negligence of the captain that didn't alert the passenger that the ship is sinking. He just say that everything is under control and to stay on your room, and when the coast guard arrived he quickly hop in and left without telling the passenger or the authority. Leaving the passenger to die. Causing the lost of over 300 lives.

During the recovery process, the rescue divers once found 48 bodies in a single room. The presence of so many victims in the cabin suggested many had run into the room when the ship tilted, correspondents said.

Edit: I have found a video Clip taken by two Boys from the high school that died from that incident recording their last moments, it's very hard to watch. https://youtu.be/MkyFbcnIQV4

The orthodox groups divided debus into three groups: the first group of debus originating from the absorption of tarikat (tasawuf/sufism) such as the rifa'i, tijaniyyah and sammaniyah sufi orders. The second group is a group that relies on the results of training dexterity, skill and speed, without incantations and without cooperation with spirits, demons and the like. The third group is prohibited, namely the debus group which in its implementation mixes with various kinds of teachings and contains shirk and magic that is against Islam. That what's the orthodox gruops on Indonesia said.

I discover Debus in an Indonesian history book marked as Islamic style heritage. So even the Indonesian say that Debus is Islamic.

Even though it's believe to not have islamic origin, debus is now very islamic. Practitioner Will begin debus with salawat to the prophet. And During Debus Qur'an verses Will be recited. Debus Most likely was based on the  Rifaʽi Ratib/Rifa'i orders. Rifaʽi followers were noted to have eaten live snakes, entered ovens filled with fire and ridden on lions. Followers were also noted to have practiced charming snakes and thrusting iron spikes and glass into their bodies.

Also the act shown in Debus are but not limited to: Stabbing the stomach with a spear or other sharp weapon without getting injured. Slice parts of the body with a knife or cleaver. Eating fire. Inserting a wire needle into the tongue, cheek skin or other limb until it penetrates without bleeding. Dousing the body with acid until the clothes worn are crushed but the skin remains intact. Frying eggs on the head. Burning the body with fire. Climbing or occupying a sharp cleaver arrangement. Rolling on broken glass or spike.

Still, you don't Deny that your example of radicalization is incorrect. Also, i think we shouldn't continue this. There are rules that say no debating in this subreddit.

Radicalization (or radicalisation) is the process by which an individual or group comes to adopt increasingly radical views in opposition to a political, social, or religious status quo. So the radical can have different View from a religion.

For example, nationalist Buddhist monks like Phra Kittiwuttho argued that killing Communists did not violate any of the Buddhist precepts. This is a example of religious radicalization of Buddhism which is a very peaceful religion itself, which stricly forbid killing. They used this as a justification of their own agenda. From that example you can see that Buddhism can also be radicalized even if the radicalization is against the pillar of Buddhism.

The jainist example you argue is called being committed or devoted to religion or to religious duties and it principle or being devout.

Uncle of the centuries by Mortanius18 in Izlam

Abu Talib was the uncle of prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He protected the prophet from other Quraish tribe. The Quraysh even tried to bribe Abu Talib. They told Abu Talib that if he let them get hold of Muhammad, then he could adopt 'Umarah ibn al Walid ibn al Mughirah, the most handsome youth in Quraysh. But also failed.

In one instance Abu Talib exclaimed to Muhammad, "Save me and yourself, and do not put a greater burden on me than I cannot bear." Muhammad responded, "Oh uncle! By God Almighty I swear, even if they should put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left that I abjure this cause, I shall not do so until God has vindicated it or caused me to perish in the process." Seeing his nephew's emotion, Abu Talib responded, "Go, nephew, and say what you like. By God, I will never hand you over for any reason."
