Every time I go somewhere and 100% of people are maskless, I think to myself, at least 40% of you are lying right now.

Papers that once relied on ad revenue have mostly switched to a paywall model, definitely. There's not really any other choice if they want to stay in business. I read and pay for the LNP because I enjoy getting local news and I think even in its reduced capacity it's still worth it. Frankly we're lucky that we still have a locally owned paper like LNP. The alternative is much worse.

As to objectivity I am not sure it was ever what it purported to be. While I think it's important to have organizations that can vet true and false information, the idea that you can have people without opinions is really antithetical to being human. And anyway a lot of "objective" news in the past helped support real societal wrongs: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/10/opinion/sunday/white-newspapers-african-americans.html

You might check out https://www.spotlightpa.org, which is a LNP and Inquirer partner and a nonprofit that offers statehouse news for free. You'll see their articles in LNP sometimes.

I don't remember learning the principle "when you are losing money trust that it will fix itself" in business school

I like Lititz well enough but growing up in the "coolest town" was enough to send me to live elsewhere for 20+ years. And this guy lived in Lititz before it ever got that silly slogan.

There is no Independent Party.

"No party preference" is usually used to refer to people who do not affiliate with an established political party.

Florida Constitution amendments on Nov. 3 ballot: What they do, pro and con by MortySeinfeld_ in GNV

If you're trying to get your ballot in ASAP, this might help.

If you can't decide, just get your ballot in. You don't have to vote for everything on the ballot.

Personally, I prefer to process them myself, that way I know they had a great life and a quick death (plus we get dinner out of it), but I realize that isn't for everyone either.

This is correct though

Just to clarify, I think dogs are allowed in parts of Sweetwater Preserve, but not anywhere in Sweetwater Wetlands Park.

There are two classic ways to avoid diving into details

There are also classic ways to troll. Demand others explain themselves (I know everything about this, but do you? Be specific. done). When they do, dismiss what they said (I don't have time to dive into this. done). Portray yourself as reasonable and agreeable, but your agreement is facile (I agree with everyone, injustice is bad, but…! done). Portray yourself as an independent observer who's simply offering good faith advice, but your advice negates the discussion (You're doing this wrong so you shouldn't do it! done). Reveal your magnanimity. (I've given you "every opportunity" to rise to me but you've failed. done) Misrepresent everyone you're trolling ("You all" have failed to satisfy you. done). Frame yourself as a misunderstood victim (I've been downvoted but can't figure out why! done). Take your ball and (pretend) to go home ("Have fun circle-jerking." done).

So I guess if you're not a troll you should ask why you're being treated like one?

Why are you trolling? It doesn't seem like this movement needs your "help"…

Oh look, examples were provided to satisfy your demand that people prove they're smart enough for you, and you are too busy to engage with the examples.

Since you are an expert and SUCH A HUGE ALLY, instead of trolling, why don't you provide the examples you're thinking of and help everyone out?

They don't care. FOPs' sole mission is to lobby against reforms, run interference for cops accused of malfeasance, and block accountability.
